I started off just using the comp ending list, which is a fab place to start but now I know my way around the forum I have spent the time catching up as come comp ending day there are some great prizes which have finished early xxx

I enter a couple of hundred comps a week and my wins this year have been as follows...

January - 9
February - 5
March - 9
April - 9
May - 9
June - 4
July - 5

I won about 16 prizes last month Nothing better than opening your emails telling you that you've won something or getting an unexpected prize in the post.

I've been comping for about 6 months but only winning stuff for four. I don't bother with tickets/holidays or other stuff I don't want/can't use e.g. kids/baby. I enter quite a lot of the others though. I couldn't put a number on them though (don't worry, it's not like 56357356 every day or anything lol!). For me, I've had:
April- 5, May- 7, June- 8, July- 5

I'm also a bit baffled by how people get like 30 wins every month. Maybe they're just lucky or I'm doing something wrong, hmm.

Ive been comping since april and altho i won about 5 prizes in april and may ive had nothing since the beginning of june! Im having a severe dry spell i always enter the comps ending thread. I need some tips im getting depressed waiting for the postman for nothing lol

I enter nearly all comps on here apart from tickets ones so I dread to think how many I enter a day. I do the weekly and daily comps too but haven't really ventured into the monthly ones yet as I don't know how I would keep up with them.

I started comping at the very end of May and haven't done bad, no big prizes yet though... I won something almost everyday for the first 2 weeks in July but nothing for the last 2 weeks (apart from impulse comp) I do think the more comps you enter the more you win

Perhaps go through the list and enter all the ones you would like to win so you are at least ahead of the comps?

I have a loose daily routine with entering competitions. I start the morning off by going through the comps ending thread. I then move onto dailies (which i have bookmarked) then I move onto the main board and just start working my way through the recently posted competitions. I also visit Loquax to see if I've missed any comps.
Just lately I've caught up with comps posted so I've begun searching on google for competitions (edit to add, which I then post on here)!

I also believe in comping Karma.

Post competitions you find, thanks posters for finding competitions, help with answers, congratulate people on their wins..... just generally get involved - you get back what you give.

This entire year, I have won 2 DVDs. One in February and one in July.

Great question Kateab! I don't know how people have completed the 2008 club challenge as I spend most of my spare time doing comps(80-100+,dailies,weeklys,postcards -no luck there yet-and some monthlys) but the big wins are still elusive. All I know is that without the great people who post here I wouldn't have won what I have. I really hope I can find something 2 post but people are very quick on here! I wonder sometimes how they feel when they dont win from their own post or how those people who spend ages trying to find the answers feel.(I tried for ages to contribute on the film comp and got nowhere!) I know its the point of the forum but it MUST be a bit disappointing?Anyway just curious about that. My wins since I started are

and some freebies in between saved me some money too.

My August win is the best and really shows you should never lose hope with comps-after trying every day since March I finally won the Luminoso torch! I nearly deleted the email as I was so used to seeing 'sorry you didnt win'.
Good luck 2 all the people on this forum. You really do brighten up my day especially when I get the comping blues-has anyone written a song about that yet!?
