I'll just get my folder out :p

    January - 7
    February - 4
    March - 5
    April - 9
    May - 7
    June - 13
    July - 7
    August - 0

I've cut down on comping as I only really want to win the big things: Holiday, cash, vouchers, 50 in TV, beauty treatments :D Although I do enter some of the smaller comps for prizes for family members ... I don't usually bother with daily, monthly, instant wins. I enter between 30-50 daily.

11000 entered so far this year. 38 wins total value of just under £6K.
Used some, sold some, given some away. Biggest win just over £2K on the Weekend Mag wish list.

I've only been doing it seriously and putting a lot of hours in since June when I discovered the boards on here, so far I've won nothing!!! I don't enter for everything only things I or someone I know would enjoy or like. I also don't enter for holidays unless they are in the UK and are flexible, same goes with weekend breaks, etc., as I have a hubby in the forces I have to consider what if I won would I/we be able to go to.

I've been entering comps on a light scale for quite a number of years and have had a major dry spell.

There was one comp on here I really, really, really, really wanted to win and had entered it already after visiting the site because I wanted to and not because I was only entering the comp. I think it closed yesterday and if someone did win I would have to swollow hard and go and blub somewhere!!! LOL! It was that comp that started me doing this on a more full time basis. I think I've probably entered about 3 to 5000 in the last couple of months and am yet to get a win so keeping my fingers crossed and enjoying the company of the folks on here and am very grateful for all those who post; I keep trying but someone always beats me to it!

I also believe in comping Karma.

Post competitions you find, thanks posters for finding competitions, help with answers, congratulate people on their wins..... just generally get involved - you get back what you give.[/quote

If this is true then I should be due some comping Karma ! I started on here the 24th July..I used to just do the comps end list but usually have most of them done beforehand now. I do the dailies, weekly's and monthly's ( all this will ease off when I have to go back to work early sept  ) I like to think I have become a part of this community-
I do try to post comps ( though usually beaten to it and have only managed a couple )
I thank everyone whether I actually enter or not,
    congratulate people,
I try to help with answers
I've started a thread in I won, I won, I won ( what did you do with your prize money.http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1082045 ..so come on add your comment to it! :o )

But do you get back what you give?? £5000 was won today by someone who only joined in Aug and had posted just twice and last week £5000 by someone who had only joined a couple of weeks before and hadn't posted at all at that point ( though I could be wrong about this and he's making up for it now!:rotfl: )

So I wish it was so but I just think it is complete luck ...though obviously the more you enter the better chance of that luck!

It won't stop me from entering lots cus I love it!:D

So far my only "real" prize ..has been the Ipod shuffle from Frosty Jacks though I am counting the MP3 downloads and £5 Esprit vouchers for the sake of the £2008 in 2008 thread. :D:D

Good luck all..and I LOVE it here.

I enter 100+ per day and haven't won anything since June! I need some fairy dust! I post comps when I find them and if they haven't been posted already!

Must admit, I am losing my comping obsession. Any tips welcome!

    Good Luck All!

Same here.......... having an extremely dry spell, have not really won an awful lot considering I have been comping like mad for the last few months (100+ per day). Won nothing in July and am starting to wonder if it's worth it (but I still feel compelled to enter every day in case "today's the day :D ")

    Good luck to us all!!

I enter 100+ per day and have been comping for 4 years now but more seriously in the last year. I enter comps from the main board and dont tend to use the comps ending list, as i have already entered them mostly, unless i have been away. i would say i have about 6 -12 wins a month, and the biggest win was £500 from virgin radio earlier in the year. When i first started i did not win as much as now it took time, for me to start winning more but i enter a lot more now then i use to.
I use to do postacrd competitions and had a few wins from them not many, but do not seem to have the time now.
I also only enter what i want or my family would want and thats it.
best of luck! and dont give up.
p.s. have not had a win yet this month (august)
    :D
  • I enter around 100 a day, only stuff I know I can use or family/friends can use.

So far this year I have won :-

    January 14 wins
    February 9 wins
    March 10 wins
    April 7 wins
    May 10 wins
    June 21 wins
    July 18 wins

That's an average of 12 a month (may have been me the OP was referring to)

Got some fantastic presents for friends/family for birthdays etc & 2 of the wins in Jan were a £1,500 Holiday voucher which took us to Florida & £1,000 cash the week after so very useful indeed!
2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please!

    2026 winnings!!!

I started comping a year ago and enter all the comps on the main board sorting them by thread start time, I generally don't enter the kids ones, regional ones etc but as I work in London I can take advantage of a lot of the ticket only comps and have done quite well from these. I occasionally venture on to the dailies/monthlies if I am up to date and have a go at the instant win ones and have won almost £5k worth of prizes in a year, although a single big one still evades me! This year I have won so far:

    Jan - 8
    Feb - 5
    Mar - 10
    Apr - 14
    May - 15
    Jun - 9
    Jul - 13
    August so far - 4

You certainly need a lot of patience to comp but it does pay off in the end - I waited 2 months for my first prize but have won each month since then.
