Seen this online at John Lewis. It seems like a good offer - £848 (save £200) for the 40" tv and Blue Ray player. Anyone got one of these - any good?

A great spot - The TV is HD ready, rather than a full HD - not sure how that affects the price.

Not true, it's definately full hd and it's a good tv too as I have one, the picture on blu-ray is amazing.

The TV is full high definition, I got one on Saturday from The Sony Centre with FREE Blu-ray player and FREE 5 Year Guarantee for £799. Definitely a bargain to say the Blu-ray player is £299 from Argos.

Also if you buy before 15th August you get a CD with the Blu-ray player, load it into your pc and it directs you to a website, register on the Sony website and they send you four FREE Blu-ray movies which are

The Lost Kingdom
The Simpsons Movie
Die Hard 4
Surfs Up

The bargains just keep getting better

I presume it is a nationwide Sony offer throughout all Sony Centres but my local is Mansfield in Nottinghamshire

Oh and this is the upgraded model on the 40V3000, it benefits from the superior Bravia 2 engine and better sound quality !!

its a web typo- you add the tv to your basket and it comes up as £898 not £598!
