    The telly is £699 at digital direct and sound&vision

    Take Digital Direct as an example but lets leave out the FREE Blu-Ray Player and 4 FREE Blu-ray titles:

    KDL 40V4000 TV = £645
    Delivery = £35
    5 Year extended Warranty = £200

    Total = £880

    Now how can that be money saving :rolleyes:

    You're illustrating that the OP's deal is a very good one, provided you want the blu-ray player, discs and 5-year warranty. I can't argue with that.

    Out of interest....

    If you've not tried it before, giving this product a whirl on "Google Shopping" gives the following result:-

    I can also see your view point fatbelly, but I personally would not be prepared to invest this amount of money into a television set without the peace of mind of extra insurance cover.

    LCD television sets are relatively new technology and with the potential for dead pixels and burnt out backlights, I am glad I do not have to worry about any of that until 2013!!

    The TV is full high definition, I got one on Saturday from The Sony Centre with FREE Blu-ray player and FREE 5 Year Guarantee for £799. Definitely a bargain to say the Blu-ray player is £299 from Argos.

    Also if you buy before 15th August you get a CD with the Blu-ray player, load it into your pc and it directs you to a website, register on the Sony website and they send you four FREE Blu-ray movies which are

    The Lost Kingdom
    The Simpsons Movie
    Die Hard 4
    Surfs Up

    The bargains just keep getting better ;)

    The player came today (TV to follow) and sure enough there was the CD to use and register with to get the discs!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Probably not as good a deal, but John Lewis also have the Sony KDL46V3800 for £999.
  • Hi, got this TV on its own for £700 at my local Sony Centre (price match Dixons online) with a 1 year warranty. I could of had it with the 5 year warranty for an extra £50 but declined as the extended warranty will only cover pixel issues if 5 or more go.
