VISTA PRINT free business cards - SCAM

VistaPrint, the online business card service, appears to be running a very dubious sideline in automatically subscribing people - against their wishes - to a discount service known as VPrewards.
It would seem that many people, including myself, have unwittingly been enrolled in a discount club called VPrewards and costing £9.95 per month. What appears to be happening is that when you order business cards or the like on Vistaprint.co.uk you are then charged £9.95 in subsequent months for a rewards scheme (discounts with name brands) that they say you opted into.
This occurs after your initial order has been paid in full and you only notice it if you look closely at your subsequent credit card bill.
Like many aggreived customers I have absoloutely no recollection of seeing wording or clicking anything that represented an agreement to join the scheme.
Like most people I am very vigilant on any e-commerce site I use. So either VistaPrint were very sneaky and got it past my eagle eyes, or they are simply making it up. Whatever the case they can supply no documentation to prove that I requested to be a subscriber.
The firm simply says it has my IP address to prove it: “You filled out an online questionnaire,” said Dinah Manner, customer service rep for VPRewards, the UK company which I was redirected to through my credit card company.

Thanks will try to remeber to keep an eye out for that...ordered a set of cards and a free t-shirt for my mum from my daughter for her birthday...
I TICKED NOTHING...I DEF KNOW THAT!
But they did then deduct a payment of only £1.something instead of the £3.something originally quoted...it was a refund on my credit card account
I'm a little worried now....buch OF FLAMMING COWBOYS!!
THANKS OP0 -
I got caught out by this but after speaking to their customer services I managed to get a complete refund of all the money which was taken.0

It worries me that these cowboys are using iPoints to send offers via email..I delete immediately because I've heard not so nice things about VP in the past and avoid them like the plague...wonder if iPoints are aware just who/what they're dealing with??
All these years since I left school and I've never once had to use Algebra0 -
I know vista print seem to get a lot a bad press and I really do feel for people this has happened too if it happened to me i'd be fuming its bang out order taking money from credit cards like this.
But i've had free cards from them and postcards and rubber stamps and never had any problems. After recieving items from them I have then gone on to placing orders from them. For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0 -
Just to say, i have used them as well. all did not go well. The cards are an odd shape compared with normal sizes (not a big issue but looks unprofessional) but it was only for uni so i didn't mind. then i too found that i was being charged the monthly rate.!!
However i made a fuss and got everything refunded.
having looked again its something you have to tick saying "i do not want to receive mailings" or something to that meaning very sneaky0 -
i always use vista print and they have never done this to me0

I too have had no problems whatsoever when ordering free stuff from them, if fact i've started getting a lot of stuff from them recently as their prices are very competetive.
I'm only guessing, but please make sure you read everything before signing up, ordering and clicking yes to everything. It could make all the difference.Losing weight and saving money!:j0 -
I panicked after reading this, having recently got business cards so sent an email checking. I got this reply, which seems to indicate why the charging happens. Hope it helps someone:
