    Pardon?

Are you suggesting people with disabilities be exempt from the law? Surely not?

Would you like to point out where I have even comeclode to being discriminatory please?

As I see it, banding the word 'discrimination' about without good cause is as damaging as discrimination itself.

Please justify your accusation, as I have justified my (non-discriminatory) comments!

I don't need to justify myself to you. Mobility cars are not a perk, they are an entitlement.

You are being discriminatory because you are inciting people to "pick on" disabled persons, just as you are. No one has suggested disabled persons are exempt from the law.

Do you spend the same amount of time worrying whether people with company cars are abusing their use? No? Then you are being discriminatory.

SFB, I think you are trying to take this off in another direction, why?, I see little here that could be construed as discriminatory.

In general the concern originally was the misuse of a disability benefit by others, I don't want to enter that one as a more important issue evolved as a result of that, IE, the lack of CLEAR guidelines for the use of disabled tax class cars.

And I am not predjudiced in anyway about this, infact am entitled to a mobility car myself, which I choose not to take for my own reasons which happen to be that I prefer to own the vehicle I use ;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    Oh purleeease!!!

I don't spend time considering either too much tbh. It was an observation which cropped up from this thread.

You clearly have an axe to grind but you are looking at the wrong person here, I'm afraid. Carry on though if it makes you feel better - I have pretty thick skin! :D

I have justified my comments and said I should maybe have used a different word (I am quite happy to see the error of my ways when justifiable comments are made), therefore I feel it entirely appropriate that you justify why you feel my comments were discriminatory, given it is quite an accusation you have made!

Inciting people to 'pick on' people with disabilities?

Personally, I find people with attitudes like yours do more harm than good when it comes to challenging stigma and discrimination, but that is a different debate altogether.

The motorbility scheme gets ripped off about as much as the Blue badge parking scheme so i could well believe it!

Only in this country are we so generous.

Lets examine the concept. Someone has a disability therefore the taxpayer buys them a nice new car...I dont understand.

They aren't actually bought a new car. A part of their DLA can be used to lease a new car and then they have the option of buying it at a later date.

If people want a bigger/better, or adapted car, then they have to pay money up front as well. Not for a basic car though, as far as i am aware?

Basically though, it isn't free and it isn't bought for them.

I don't think many disagree with the concept.

In this example however, it seems the car is being used for an able bodied person and that is where it gets more controversial.

And worse still, the legislation is not clear!

I meant, "I wouldnt bother as your views are sound but are being devalued by a few radicals that aren't worth reasoning/argueing with"

or "point made, with which I agree, now let the rest dilute it"

Or "I agree, why bother typing any more";) ;););)
