Pizza Hut - To Accept Tesco Clubcard Deals 1/8/2008 - 10/10/2008

Used forty pounds worth in Great Yarmouth after having to explain to the waitress how it works. Her manager said we could only use 1 voucher, I disagreed and they took all 4.

Last night called Bletchley and was told only vouchers with Pizza Hut on them. Called again today and told restraunt or days out are ok! Booked a table for 6pm

Called Tesco (just out of interest) and she said, the pizza hut tokens DO NOT have Pizza Hut written on them and restraunt vouchers are acceptable. She said that if anyone has any problems in the branch, ask the member of staff to call them direct and they will put them right. SO GO ARMED WITH THE DEALS HOTLINE NUMBER!:j

When I went to Pizza Hut to use my vouchers, the waitress said my Tesco Clubcard deals were only worth half teh price of my voucher value.

However, when she put them through, the went through at the voucher value so she said it must be my lucky day and there was something wrong with the system.

We went to Halifax today & spent £33, (approx £25 food & £8 drinks) paid with £20 of tesco vouchers that I had already got for Harry Ramsdens but the till only deducted £10.
The waitress spent ages trying to sort it & called the manager who didnt know either, they both then spent ages ringing other branches to see what to do & in the end just scanned both vouchers twice so I got £20 off the total as it should be.
So watch your bill carefully!!!

I'm a bit worried about using my vouchers now and I've got £80 worth! Surely Tesco/Pizza Hut should have got all the 'Terms' of the offer sorted out before the offer started?? It all seems a bit hit and miss I don't like the idea of having waiting staff who know nothing about the vouchers or who think they're worth half price etc. It annoys me that staff haven't been trained properly :mad:

I just want a nice meal out and with my family and pay with my vouchers at the end of it, I don't want to have to explain how the vouchers work or have staff tell me I can only use one... or they're worth half price etc... how annoying!

BTW I have the proper Pizza Hut vouchers and they DO have Pizza Hut printed on them.

we had the same problem today, my £10 voucher only took £5 off the bill.
The lady ended up putting some manager discount in at £5.
Agreed, Check your bill carefully!!!

I had the same problem as other members, whilst trying to use my Tesco clubcard deal vouchers in pizza hut, cardiff, last friday.
I told the waiter before we ordered, ( hahaha clever eh ! ) that i would be using my vouchers. Given the vacant stare, i assumed he knew nothing about them. We waited at least 10 minutes whilst him and his 'Manager' debated and cogitated. After a phonecall to head office, I was told i couldn't use the vouchers off any deals, ie lunchtime special, etc. I said, 'thats fine' and was willing to order from the main menu. Then the manager came up and told me he would only give me 50% of the value, ie £5 for every £10 voucher. I was incredulous, and told hiim that nowhere on the Tesco site does it state that, and that why on earth would i give him a £10 voucher when i could walk 50yrs around the corner, to either Slug & Lettuce or HaHa canteen and be given £10. He stated he didn't really know how they worked. Suffice to say, we left, and proceeded to have a very enjoyable and free lunch at Slug and Lettuce.
I have emailed Tesco clubcard and Pizza Hut, direct and am waiting for their responses, but I shall let you know what they come back with.

This afternoon the family & I had a reasonable meal in Pizza Hut (What have they done to the starter salads? - very poor selection now!) and paid using £40 worth of vouchers.
When it came to paying there was quite a big poster on the wall by the till detailing how to deal with vouchers, which obviously helps staff deal with this complicated system(!?).
Anyway our bill showed each voucher being worth only £5 yet the staff had over-ruled the till on each one without me commenting (As I would have done following earlier remarks on here).
So my £40 of vouchers were worth £40 with no hassle:j . Thanks Mr T.

Given the idiot-proof poster that each restaurant has presumibly been sent there should really be no problems.

Following my experience last friday in the Cardiff Pizza Hut, where I was told my deal vouchers were only worth 50% of the face value, I contacted Tesco customer services.
I have received an email back that states 'The Pizza Hut Deal is still in its early stages so there have been some teething problems. One of these problems came to light only over this past weekend. This is an oversight on the part of Pizza Hut for which I sincerely apologise. We Have contacted Pizza Hut head offices as the advice given by the restaurants in regard to this is completely incorrect. '

Hopefully, Pizza hut will get its act together before the offer runs out !

Can someone please tell me how these vouchers arrive? Are they just vouchers for " x " amount off a meal or is it something like a bogof on certain pizza's?????
....Basically are they really worth it?
