:rotfl: :rotfl:thanks for your help in understanding my situation ill have a look at down sizing but i dont want a flat as you say needs must I MIGHT EVEN FIND SOMEONE WITH THERE OWN HOUSE LOL:beer:
Sorry, I agree with pastures new and Paddy's mum. I own my 3 bed house outright, but have worked very hard to buy and renovate it. I am a full time single parent, do a demanding job and would not simply be willing to share it with a bloke that wanted a way out of putting in the same effort
It is frustrating when housing is a problem, but it sounds like a small terrace house or similar would suit you fine. There are loads of houses coming on to the rental market as they don't sell. Good luck

im not ignorant im just trying to help myself to make a bad situation better.I think to slate him would be unfair really, he is obviously ignorant of the council housing situation like many others, they seem to think if they get pregnant/divorced they will get one handed to them....sorry but Maggie Thatcher saw to that one!0 -

right lets get this straight once and for all im not after an easy ride and never have been just because i dont own my own house dosnt mean i have not worked hard for what ive got ive got a lovley house all i wanted was advise not to be slated at every oppertunity and you should have thought about what you were going to say before you said it because classing kids as bagagge is not very nice how would you feel if someone said that about your kids you would be the first to complain :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0

I think it was a joke too.
Or am I missing something here?0 -
BTW, we'd all love a nice cheap council house - that includes those of us with children who live with us all the time, not just twice a week.
No chance, mate.0 -
you mentioned your loathing of flats that stems from your childhood - that's baggage. we all have baggage of one kind or another.
women will invariably view you differently to a man without kids - if a woman wants to travel the world but you can't because of your (honourable) commitment to your son, she'll not stay around long. that's just an example.0
