You should be proud of how you're bringing your DS up. You always try to do different things with him, new and exciting things that stimulate him and keep him happy. I'd imagine your life, and others like you, would be so much easier if you just left him to his own devices or stuck him in front of a DVD for hours on end.
You may not think it now but one day he'll thank you for what you're doing for him now. He's a smashing kid and you're a smashing mum. Considering you do all this on your own, that makes it twice as good as you haven't got the support network that a partner provides.
Take care mate

Hi BB,
Hope it's a cyst and goes away all on it's own xxx
I sent you a text yest afternoon to ask how it went, did you get it?
You do a fab job with DS, each time I've seen you both, I have never thought he's a monster or anything of the sort, he's a lovely lad and it's obvious how good you are with him. Understand why you feel down though hun, can't be easy when he does have a tantrum (I think us parents all struggle when they tantrum) but don't feel bad, you're a fab Mum xxxx"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Sorry for not being around much recently, it has all been a bit hectic here again this week  But it is now friday, ds is off to a disco tonight and then to his dads in the morning, my mate is away this weekend so I am planning on having a nice relxing catch-up indoors kinda weekend
We're off to Devon next friday so I need to sort stuff out for that, I also have to utterly sort the finances as the mortgage payment needs to be done on monday, so I'm hoping everythings going to arrive back in the account by thenI may also do some ebaying too to try and recoup a few pennies, but generally my aims are (1.) relax, (2.) sort finances, (3.) sort housework (4.) list stuff to take to Devon

Sounds like a good weekend to me;) I need to do some ebaying too - I've just been looking through my summer stuff....don't think I'll make my millions selling any of that tho:rotfl::rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Since your just mainly concentrating on your mortgage now and general money saving/keeping costs down rather than debts....will you be moving over to the mortgage board?

He spent the rest of the session crying / screaming basically was uncontrollable yet again. I am thinking more and more along the adhd lines, partly as I have read that emotionally they are approx 2 yrs behind their peers, and this fits in perfectly with him
I just wish we could go somewhere and I and he could relax and enjoy it without worrying about his behaviour, and without everyone else looking at me/him like he's a monster
Am just feeling a bit down about it all tonight really, I just dont see any end to this behaviour, if anything I see it getting worse as he gets older and is physically stronger than me, I can hardly control him now
I do relate to this.
How about a local ADHD support group. They don't demand official diagnosis as an entry requirement and you might get some good support for you too. Plus no-one will bat an eyelid if he "goes off". I'd also have a good nag at work's SENCO for any local resources you may have missed out on knowing about. Hugs-I know it's tough. Best advice I can give is don't compare him with his peers -he's a late developer and he will get there....just in his own sweet timeLook at my cherub (all 6 foot 2 of him !) -he was diagnosed around the time we met and although it has been tough at times (and isn't plain sailing now at times) but he's taking 2 AS levels this month and plans to start a BETEC IT course in September and go on to uni after.

Thankyou Duchy
, I think its worse cos my sisters son (who was there at the football) is the same age but is bloody perfect at everything
I will definitly look into the adhd group thing though, would be good to see other similar kids and see how ds compares to them tooMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
