Wow, thankyou 2kittens ... that is fantastic!! I'm gonna have loads of fun with it even if ds doesn't :rotfl: I bought new ink for the printer last week so will print some off tonight, I will do the alphabet and then his name and favourite words like "bus" "train" "thomas" "haribo"
Ooooh, thanks for that, its great

Glad that it helped! What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always receive lots0 -
We sat down and did tonights scrapbook entry, I stuck in a postcard and the train tickets and I wrote Moors Valley at the top of the page. I wrote "train" on a separate piece of paper and ds copied it. I asked him if he wanted to write anything else and he said he'd like to write playtrail but its too long. so could he write play and I write trail?
Made my day that he voluntarily wrote more than required

Aaah that's lovely to hear BB. You're definitely making it fun for him, with no pressure. Does he like using paint, glitter glue, finger paint etc? I'm sure you've tried all the different things, you usually are full of ideas!! My 2 haven't been reading over the hols so far, usually it's every night. So I was a bit worried; when I was their age I read all the time - the hols were just more time for me to read!! But they do spend time typing/making books/powerpoints etc on pc a lot, so it's not too bad! They're not on the wii or ds at all any more! And they have spent hours outside on roller skates...goodness you never stop worrying do you?!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0

Tigz ... Moors Valley sounds good, if you like I can meet you nearby, you can park there, transfer little uns car seat into my car and then we'll all go in in my car .... the car park is about 2.00 an hour in the summer   but I have an annual pass sowon't cost us anythingAlways a dfw :rotfl:
Sounds a good plan!!! The parking there is expensive but it's balanced out as no entry fee. But love your idea! Cool, that's a date then. Will sort times etc nearer the time. DD will want to go on the train!!"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

I've put another qualifying bet on, its on a footie match tomorrow night and I'm hoping (a) I've done it right
and (b) my free bet money is credited in time for the weekend
I made some banana muffins tonight but only had plain flour, so I used that and stuck in a bit of bicarb of soda (didn't have any baking powder), they smelt gorgeous but tasted a bit funny

benben, just a thought, my son hated anything to do with writing, errr and still does even though he is now 22! one way I got round this was too use play doh and cutters, he thought it was great to make the playdoh make words. Althought it takes ages, we used to sit and make words for hours. We would have a cutter that was shape of a cat, then use the alpha cutters to spell cat. (didn't use proper playdoh though, made it, loads of recipes online, the one I used you cooked in a saucepan, kept it in fridge and it lasted ages). The only problem I had with this was his sister would sometimes get annoyed and roll it all back into a ball :rotfl: you could also use dough and cook it afterwards, then he could keep it.
OOOPs sorry, I haven't posted on your diary before, hope you don't think I'm a nasty stalker, I always read and your DS reminds me of mine when he was that ageDS was also uncreative, when I got stuff out for a craft afternoon, DD would spend hours, painting and glueing things, DS would wildly colour stuff, sellotape it together or pinch the stapler, guess some children are creative and some are....errrrrr...inventive????
