Just hope I've done it all properly now, and quidco tracks soon too :o:o

Oops, just realised I've been so busy with all the mb stuff I haven't put todays spends on here :o Well we went swimming this morning, only to find I'd read the timetable wrong and there was an over 50's session going on  and while I could probably scrape in unnoticed, there was no way ds could be mistaken for a 50+  , so we came home again, had lunch, and then were just getting in the car to go back when ds decided to whack me really hard, can't even remember why now, but the punishent was no swimming, so we duly came in again ;) Ds threw a tantrum for 10 minutes but once he realised I wasn't changing my mind he calmed down and was an angel all afternoon :D He asked me after tea if we could go swimming as he'd tried hard but I said no as I wasn't changing my mind on it, but I did take him to the train station to watch the trains for half an hour instead. The last thing he asked me before he went to sleep was if we could go swimming tomorrow :o

So, in terms of money today its been 4.20 on bread, milk and some chips to go with our dinner :D

Well done on the consistency with ds - as a counsellor, its one of the biggest problems I come across in people who've grown up in "ordinary" families. And great on the m.b. front, you'll have that money really quickly!

I've set up my next bookie, and found a likely match, will be doing that today.

Have a good one today - swimming!

I hardly slept last night because of all these thoughts of betting going round my head  :o:D Anyway, I checked everything this morning - I had lost at Betfair so logged into the bookies ..... and my balance there was zero   Quick panic ensued while I checked the summary details etc and then saw the bet was still pending  .. no idea why as the match was at 4am our time, but after several frantic minutes of searching the help pages suddenly the winnings appeared in my account :D:D

So, lessons learned from my first attempt ....
    • doublecheck everything again and again
    • don't get complacent when you think you get the hang of it
    • it is still real money and it is gambling, I know its risk-free if done poperly, but theres always a risk I've been a muppet :o
Anyhow, after all that, I've made 14.21 from my first bet and I'm still waitig for the quidco to track. I have withdrawn my winnings from the bookies and will have to deposit again at Betfaironce it comes back :D:D

Yep, thats where the risk still comes from - human error! Muppet-dom. Like being confused by the "confirm" button on betfair, so I never actually placed my lay. That kind of thing! Glad your winnings appeared.

  • Hi Benben

Well done on getting round to the matched betting, that mortgage company is not going to like you!!! YAaaay!!

How is DS's writing coming along? Have you thought of any inventive ways to get him interested? Maybe if he is as driven by money as you are you could sponsor him so much a word?

    Take care

We've just got back from Moors Valley, the weather here today is beautiful, the weathermen were useless again

We had a great time there and we went on the little steam train (4.70 return   ), then had a picnic but I had to buy drinks as I forgot them :o (1.90). I also bought ds a postcard for his scrapbook and he's got the train ticket to stick in, hopefully he'll manage to scribble the word "train" We did try some writing last night, I found one of those gold star sticker bookthings in his room and we did a couple of pages of that, but he very quickly got bored :o:o We will try again after tea tonight ;)

Tomorrow we're meeting friends down the beach so we'll encourage writing in the sand :D
