He was calm though and stayed in his bed,not like N.Y's eve, I went in at 8:45 and told him to lie down and when I checked again at 9 he was asleep
Its still later than I'd like but feels like progress as it was under control and he was calm and listened
Aah that sounds great....calm and under control! Mine always find it hard to get to sleep early at the end of the hols anyway, too used to later nights, so the fact that yours is asleep happily and without fuss is fab:j
Mine are in bed but eldest is still wide awake - she's happy to stay up til midnight in the hols.... (I was like that as a child/teen - just now I don't have the energy!) So will see when she drops off - actually I'll probably be asleep first;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Thats great I guess the secret at the moment is taking the stress and tension out of the bedtimes before that becomes ingrained so it sounds like you are breaking that cycle. Us parents need our evenings I think or we would go batty, well I would0

Actually after Milly pointing out the holidays, could that be DS's problem as he is not as tired without the stimulation of school through the day so feels frustrated 'forcing' himself to sleep where as he is very tired after school so falls asleep more naturally, if that makes sense?0

Yes... I bet by the end of the week he'll be crashing out early - I always am on Fridays;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
It could be partly that, although he's probably had more physical exertion than he gets at school, but I guess mentally he's not as tired. He has been laying in a little bit later than when he's at school too. He's got an inset day tomorrow but still has to be up early to be dropped off at mums when I go to workMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

One day back at school and I'm shattered
I've got a splitting headache, think its cos I didn't wear my glasses today and I should
I have already done tomorrows packed lunches and ds had a bath at mums , so hopefully he'll go straight to sleep tonight and I can have an early night

Milly, make sure you do a couple of practice runs once you think you've got the hang of the mb lark
and before you join any bookies always remember to check the referrers board or cashback sites too
