It's Friday!! Another week draws to an end, and we are all another week closer to that debt free party!
Have just made a small payment to egg - that account is now down to £682But when I was on online banking I saw that National Insurance are still taking out £11.50 a month despite me having written to them asking them not to take it and actually I reckon they owe ME rather than anything else so that is another chase up letter I need to write because it is mucking my numbers up!
Also got my mobile bill and on my new cheap tarrif I have been charged £2.49 for retrieving 6 voicemail calls  Still, even with that I am paying about half what I was paying on the old tarrif so not the end of the world, but I will be working out how to cancel voicemail today!
So, list for today:- [strike]make list[/strike] Done!
- [STRIKE]eat chocolate (well, it is Friday)[/STRIKE] Had chocolate spread sandwiches for lunch
- [strike]contact National Insurance[/strike] Have written to the refund dept
- [STRIKE]cancel voicemail[/STRIKE] Done
- [strike]check banking against bills still to pay[/strike] Just about in surplus.....pretty good for this stage of the month
- [strike]update snowball and signature[/strike] Done
- take kids to karate
- take kids skiing
- [strike]do tesco online shop[/strike] Done - with £13 discount voucher from the freebies board too :T

Well done on Egg :T - wasn't it still over £1000 only last week?
This list should be a doddle - you've already achieved one thing off it & there's at least one other I'm pretty sure you'll achieve.
I'm glad you're looking forward to the Olympics - no-one else seems to be. I'm off on holiday & looking forward to watching loads. Hopefully it will inspire me to at least go for long walks & go swimming. Knowing me though I'll sit on my backside & toast the winners instead

That's a really good explanation benben!
I love the Olympics - whether controversial in its location or not. I just think it is fab that whatever other sporting goals people have, to compete in the Olympics is almost always their ultimate aim.......
I am off for the second week of the games, so am hoping to do a bit of couch potato stuff in between mystery shopping!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
