lucielle, all is not lost - I sold my DS's washed dead phone on ebay and got £5 for it :rotfl:

Just got in - my feet hurt :o But we had a successful shopping day - I bought nothing but a couple of birthday cards and a much needed coffee......DD bought 2 pairs of shoes, a dress, a skirt and a pair of jeans all for under £30!!!

DD bought his phone that he wanted, 2 "pre-owned" games from Game, and some "bargain bucket" DVDs from WH Smith. He has got a lot for his money so he is very happy!

I am going to sit now with a cuppa and have a bit of a catch up on here, then I am going to do some ironing to Saturday evening telly.....

hope you have all had a good day!

Sounds like a good shopping trip.

Your kids have definately taken on their mums traits getting as much as they can for their money by the looks of it.

Well done to all the young Hypnos. I wish mine were as focused unfortunately they still zoom in on sweets.

    Still hoping phone will work.

Our student said she would have to take tips from DD about low cost shopping. DD replied by saying that her parents never give her pocket money because they have a limited amount of money, so when she DOES get some money she has to be savvy with it :D

It justifies my decision over the last few days to do some repointing - can't afford £100 a square yard, so I bought an angle grinder yesterday, mortar mix on Thursday, I'll be buying plasticiser today (and goggles if I can't find my old ones). The things we do... still, the house should smell clean and fresh with that dust and mould gone... heres hoping anyway :o It sounds terrible, I know - but thats what I get for being a bad, bad cleaning person :rotfl:

Well it depends on how much you're repointing, but if it needs an angle grinder to remove it, then it doesn't need replacing. MC Hammer and [STRIKE]screwdriver[/STRIKE] chisel will suffice.

Of course if you're doing a whole wall instead of repointing the bad bits, then angle grinder it is.

  • hi all
spent a worrisome 36hrs in hospital with the baby
thur eve he'd not slept properly for two days, just screamed continually
we were at wits end as we had not slept either.so decided to go in to the hospital and get him checked out ..
apparently the food the midwife had told us to use to settle his tummy was the wrong one and we were slowly filling up his gut with food he couldn't digest,,
so much for professional advice .paediatrician? (baby dr) was none to impressed either..
any way they basically flushed him out and gave him a very thorough medical
few things to watch out for but thank god no damage done..
he sleeps now for 2 to 3 hrs after feeding and we even seen a few smiles
oh having a good sleep since six pm and ill jion in after the 1 am feed..
    hope everyone else is ok
and having a good wk end
    i know we will,,,
