What about if I put a sign on the door saying "burglars, help yourself"........do you reckon the house would be tidy by the time I got home

if I did that they'd probably come in, laugh and leave me something out of pity.:o :D

No it would be even messier as they would just throw stufff around.

ah, but there would still be less stuff for me to clear up than there is now, surely!!

It's the weekend - and as usual a busy one in the hypno household.

Online banking shows that a loan payment has come out today, so that takes the total of debt outstanding to just under £44k........:D Ironically, this is the level that my debt was showing in my signature this time last year - before I was honest and added in my secured loan, loans from parents, overdrafts etc, which previously I had not been including in the debt totals.

So, at the time, it was a very scary thing to do - amend the signature UP from £43k to £66k, but at least I know now that what you see is what I have to pay - no hidden nasties lurking.....

clicks and surveys to do today, but otherwise not a lot else going on moneywise.

I hope you have a good weekend xx

    Morning Hypno how's you?

Blimey sub £44k thats just fab! You have done so well this year and you should be so proud of yourself. I remember your post when you "admitted" the grand total, seems like a lifetime ago now doesn't but look how far you have come in those 9 months! :T

hi doodledo - yes, I'm ok - I have sooo much to do this weekend and absolutely no idea how I am going to do it!

Perhaps another cup of coffee is in order - I have 40 mins before I need to leave the house. I'll go and put the kettle on, you get the mugs out of the cupboard.........

Gosh hypno, what a day you had yesterday on here, as well as the reality of DS's birthday. I'm sorry you were missing your dad yesterday, it must strike home to you on family birthdays.

And the brick wall, well, I think its otherwise known as tiredness. You're so focussed on getting the debt down - especially in these scary times of a bad recession about to hit, which I completely understand - that you hardly let up at all on yourself. We all need time to regroup and get our energies back up to an acceptable level, and lets face it, you don't have much time to do that. It seems to me a whole afternoon and evening of relaxation, followed by a good night's sleep, is required! Any chance of that in the next few days? You sound brighter today, anyway, tho still madly busy, of course.

And the decluttering... oh yeah, I know that feeling. Really, if the house went up in flames, what would I save? My laptop, cos its got nearly all my pictures and genealogical information on.... the rest of my pictures..... possibly my financial documents if I had time..... do you know, the next thing would be the ashes of my cats! The rest is nothing, really - either ordinary stuff I need to get by, like pots and pans, or stuff thats sitting waiting to go onto Amazon. Its just not wanted for itself!

Anyway, hope you have a good day, sounds like you're out the whole day now. Take care - and eat something!

Hi KC - no chance of an afternoon and evening to relax, sadly. But, hey ho, I am partly responsible for this busy life we lead, so I can't complain about it really!

Today it is skiing this morning, then taking DS out to lunch with a half price pizza hut voucher from MSE for his birthday. DS wants to spend his birthday money on a new mobile phone (remember, I washed his other one a while back and it never recovered!) so I need to take him into the city for that. We need to get the bus back, because OH will have the car for work, then I need to get ready for the ski race tomorrow.

Although, looking at it, the list above doesn't look that big - it is going to take me all day before I can get home and start doing food for tomorrow. So........I really should get dressed now and get a move on!!
