It does, doesn't it, taxi! I could do a lot more. With their "re-use" thing, for example. I had a pure wool jumper that got holes in, cos it was handspun, and I unravelled it, but kept the wool, in bits. While I was watching tv, I could plait that and then wrap it around the bends in the new hot water pipes in the hot water cupboard, rather than buying polystyrene whatnots to do the same job. That sort of thing.

Pania wasn't it you who was going to Malaysia, or did I dream it, and if it was you then why are you still here?
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Ah.... not perfect. I think I'd be inclined to forgive them the lapse, considering what they do, tho. I like the way they do actual research: they don't use batteries any more, for instance - they sell to the National Grid when they have surplus, and buy back when they have a need, so the National Grid *becomes* their batteries. And they've done research on a theory about smooth water flow affecting the growth of plants fed with it (it doesn't seem to) - all sorts of stuff. It sounds like you were there, tho - did you like it on the whole? I have to nail my flag to the mast and say I adored it, but their taste in decoration is definitely questionable.... I'd want a much smoother modern look for any place I lived in.
Yes I have been and I do like some of the ideas and things they do and in a perfect and debt free world I would have solar panels and a wind turbine and water collectors for flushing the loo. However a family member worked for them for 1 year and things are not as they seem and the amount of money that is wasted would make your hair curl.

I have! My builder came along today and repointed where we think the leak was. I cleared up after him and belatedly decided to check he was in the ballpark for charges, after going over to the House thread on here and hearing how "little" people were being charged. I'm being charged megabucks for other parts of the country, but I spoke to two other builders in my town, and he was the cheapest by £45. So I count that as a good day!

Ahem... not to be too self centred (I've just realised, oops) - how are you, doodledo?

Not so bad then if he was a good price for your area. Easy for people to say how much they think they would be charged but different ball game once the work has been done and you actually know how much work was involved.

I'm ok thanks, glad its the weekend :D

Its the end of the week and what a week it has been! I am exhausted, yet full of manic energy so probably won't be able to sleep (again!). A bottle of rose has just been opened, and the gourmet meals of sausage egg and beans is currently cooking :rotfl:

Nothing done so far today except work.........that may well have to do :o

Hope you have all had a good day!
