Thanks YL - yes it is good to be able to see clients - I don't see many at all nowadays and like mystery shopping etc it goes through busy times like now and then quiet times. Because I no longer actively look for clients I don't get as much work as I could.....but of course I don't want to be too busy with them because they can be hard work. If people are bringing trauma to you at the end of a long day and want "fixing" that takes a lot of extra energy!

But.....I am more than happy with this level and the money certainly does come in useful.....plus I just enjoy doing it - all that training etc has been well worth it.

Just checked online banking - my loan payment hasn't gone out but I seem to recall that they take it during the day (?) so will check back later....but I have been paid £89.63 for mystery shopping so I will transfer £50 of that to HSBC later today and the remainder will go towards OH shortfall in his wages (he will have made up the difference himself this month but doesn't receive that money until later in September).

Hope you all have a good day x

    Morning Hypno.

Wow another payment to HSBC, that balance is zooming down already :T. Sub 50k is so close now, you have come so far and should be so proud of yourself. That dream house is getting close everyday.

Have a good day at work.

Hypno those figures are tumbling! Will they drop even faster when you have the student again or will you put that money away for another ski school for the mini Hypno's?

Yes, taxi - a lot more balanced since going back to "work".....far more than I ever expected to be, I have to admit. I know that for me it was absolutely the right thing to do.

Re skiing, probably looking at about £7k......last season cost me £10k by the time we had finished, so I am hoping to save a fair bit, one way or another - lessons learned last time about how to do things a little cheaper.

The student money is allocated (in my head at least) to the skiing......that is the intention anyway, what happens in reality may yet be another matter! We have a lot to work on!!

Off out for dinner this evening with in-laws so no need to cook :T and even better, no need to wash up!

Woot on the free dinner and no washing up! and well done on thinking about setting aside the student money straight away (will you pay it into a savings account so you can't touch it?)
