hello,
basically i have an account with natwest but i was unable to sort everything before i left for uni, so i know you can apply for railcard online by sending a code and surname with photo to an email with natwest. iv done that but iv been hearing that the card can take a long time to come through which i wouldnt mind but i bought a ticket without having the railcard with me.
I sent the email saturday and if it gets to my home address then i can have it sent to halls im in so i can use it..
HOWEVER i was also wondering that if i dont have it in time could i not just buy one at the station.. or is two not allowed on a system or something?
orr.. could i play a cute card and the ticket man might not be mean if iv 'forgotten' the railcard.. oh its all ifs
but yes.. how long did it take for people for the railcard to come through, and is it possible to get a rail card in station if iv got one on the way:j0 -
how beautiful.
thanks.0 -
Nothing illegal about buying another railcard, though it seems a bit of a waste of money. My sons old card hadn't expired when the new one arrived.
My sons came through within 10 days if that helps.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I just wanted to ask
I applied for the account online, received the application form I filled it in and went to a branch who photocopied it and certified that they seen the original. I then posted it off, but heard nothing.
When do I receive the welcome pack?
How do I receive the webcam and how do I apply for the railcard??
Thanks0 -

I did more-or-less as you did, apart from the branch sent it off instead of posting as I didn't have my envelope. My welcome pack took about 4 weeks to arrive from when I sent my application off and you get info in there about how to get the railcard - I think this is supposed to take 10 days to get the railcard.. its been 9 for me and haven't got owt yet so here's hoping for tomorrow! I too have asked how you get the webcam above. :-)0 -
Well Ill be in for a wait then.
So how do you get the webcam....lol
Thanks0 -
Yeah, I got my card that was sitting in branch cancelled and a new one issued to my home address.
I didn't start a new application so I should get the webcam. :-) Is the info about this in the welcome pack or does this come later?
Apologies for lateness of the reply....lots of things going on across the forums. The information is with the welcome pack which you should get 10 days after the account has been opened. There is a tick box form with the railcard application bit.0 -
