Todays programme was from newcastle where Phil was encouraging FTBs to buy a flat quickly before they are priced out of the market!

ANyone notice when it was filmed?

April 2007. I thought it was longer ago considering the fact I've seen it about six times. I sat through most of this evening's to find out what happened when they "revisited", ended up on here and missed it. :wall:

I saw an episode of another one under the hammer or something yesterday. They were buying property and out to make a killing and buy some more etc etc. It was so easy in those days (2005) Now they are the people who need to be visited for an "update" . Bet they are back to the day jobs now when it all went pete tong. (krusty never mentioned it may go pete tong did she?) Nor beaney.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I don't know why I'm still up. I start my proper job tomorrow/today.

  • the bit that annoyed me most this week was when krusty said she hoped they didn't go for a particular house, as they weren't in the best position (hadn't sold their house) and there was already an offer from someone else, so it would be a difficult offer for her to make! Nothing about whether that house was good value or suited their needs just she couldn't be arsed to do her job!!!!!!!!!

I also noticed later on the phone when she did put the offer in her voice was a bit shaky + seemed a little higher than normal!!

yet another repeat from the boom 'year' of q1 2007

:mad::mad:Why are they allowed to do this? Half the Property Ladder episodes this year were repeats, with 5 minute "updates" at the end. It's giving a distorted view of the market to viewers.

I was robbed.... there was no revisit/what are they doing now!

I watched the whole, dull originals from March 2007. Then, when it came to What's happening now, they showed the FTB letting herself in and saying "Love it" ... and that was the end. No agents/prices. And nothing whatsoever from the other couple.

Seems to be happening a lot with these property programmes now. They have a new series, promising things ... and it all just peters out and doesn't deliver.

    Shame on them. Shame.

No. I don't know what I was watching.
Some American thing about a bloke looking after some owl at his bosses house.. and things not going to plan.

In the end though, the lure of LLL was too great and I watched it, expecting to get the revisit at the end.... so grrrrr @ Channel 4 for not delivering.

P.S. Arnie is ... just odd. Very odd. Doesn't do a thing for me.

Oh my god, these programmes were recorded three years ago.!!!!

A more interesting programme would be

'look at these people, they bought and had no idea what they were doing and now they are b.uggered'

    Leave it to the professionals

See them all on the debt forum...Idiots

I can't follow your reasoning here. You start with the assumption that people on these programmes are fools for buying a house. You may be right that some of them stretched too far financially, but it is likely that only a fraction will regret buying.

People regret lots of things. Hindsight is truly 20:20.

It would be just as logical to say that people shouldn't marry because so many later divorce.

I know people who bought houses in the last three years who are glad they did, and for a variety of reasons, none of them connected with economics.
