Not only did I cap my prices with Scottish Power last weekend thanks to Martin's e-mail, but I also managed to get my Mum capped with E:on last night too, in addition to just signing up for a new balance transfer credit card that will save me approx 12% in interest, and currently in the process of reclaiming OH PPI from a loan with HFC bank - none of which I could have done without the help of Martin's e-mails and this website! action-smiley-033.gif
If you get through to one person, what happens is that one person then passes the message on to someone else, and the money saving tree just grows and grows beerchug.gif

So from me, my housemates, my parents and my OH, thanks sport-smiley-001.gif

    Hi Martin
You really shouldn't be too hard on yourself.
As soon as I saw your animated "CAP NOW" interview I did!!
The message gets across ok but I must admit Ive tried to tell my OAP mum and she has asked me to do it for her, I will but feel it may now be too late.
I do think that GMTV dont give you enough airtime to explain things fully and it does seem you have to cram everything in too quickly.
    their fault not yours!
I think you provide a valuable service to millions of people and give the power back to them not greedy money grabbing companies.
Oh btw both my electric and gas owe me money as they were on Direct debit and in credit it really annoys the hell out of me that they get to keep any overpayment "til the next bill" they get interest on MY money bearing in mind that they have thousands of customers in the same boat
how can I get it back ???
    Cheers Mand

Oh Martin - you are our god - nothing you do can be wrong :)

(I only wish Id listened to your encouragement to switch a few weeks back - I THINK Ive managed to switch to SP at 9 a.m. on Monday through moneysupermarket - had the email confirmation Id applied from moneysupermarket but of course with all the furore at SP dont know if its a done deal - They said it could take up to 8 weeks for the switch: we are all capping at TODAY'S rates with them arent we ?)

Thank you for all the work you put in to saving us money - Ive just checked out that Ive had £516 cash back in 2 years since following your advice re cash back sites - brilliant help to us.

when I do radio I sometimes drive from the studio thinking I have made a hash of it. the greatest critic is the public and I am told I am fine.

also Martin, dont you find it annoying when presenters have done no research on your subject matter and then ask dopey questions. Take one presenter, TBECKETT100 so I can regularly save £100,000 with Halifax 10% saver. doh!

I don't do morning TV so I didn't see the piece but if it's any consolation I was in a customer's today and the chat turned to energy saving products one of the guys mentioned that he had seen a piece on GMTV this morning talking about capping and he was really impressed with the guy's passion and he was taking his advice. I thought that's our Martin LOL and basked in reflected glory.:T

Don't worry Martin. Perhaps if GMTV devoted more time to such issues instead of Hollywood gossip and other trivial rubbish, you'd get the opportunities you deserve. It'll only get worse when Fiona returns to the sofa :-(
  • :A Martin you are a legend, I never watch GMTV but I'm sure it was cool whatever you think. You are a total genius so don't beat yourself up!

One of my most fervent wishes is to see Fiona pensioned off!!!!!!!

That and Ben moved to reality shows permanently, would do me and many others just fine.
