Flybe don't have a route to Corsica and they don't have any 47 seat aircraft. Where did your information come from ?
If you are flying from the UK it is extremely unlikely that any airline would use a 47 seat aircraft for that length of flight - it wouldn't make it !
You obviously dont know what you`re talking about then!0 -

This is about 1100 miles, easily acheviable by an ERJ145 (which has 47 seats) which can travel over 1800 miles.
Your absolutely right! Edinburgh to Bastia, thanks for your helpul comments :T0 -
Just think of it this way: When it crashes, I mean if it crashes, it weighs a lot less, so the potential energy and the resulting explosion will be smaller, giving you a higher chance of survival!
Am I helping?0 -

If it's an ERJ 145 - a very nice aircraft ! Flybe would have "inherited" them from BA Connect
Still a bit strange to use such a small aircraft on a long route though.0 -
I flew on a small plane with flybe from Birmingham to Glasgow and the flight out was like a roller coaster ride - however it was February and quite stormy! The return flight was much smoother. But it was very noisy. Just think of the sun, sea and sand when you get there - enjoy!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0

Correct - Flybe acquired the 145's as part of the BAcon buy out.
Agree about the choice of aircraft on the route though - thought one of their shiny new E195's would be better suited for that route. Maybe there's just not enough demand?0 -
Flown on small planes lots (not in Europe though) and found them to make me airsick, which I don't get on "normal" size planes.
Worth taking some travel sick tablets before flying if you are prone to motion sickness in any way.
In Africa, even on the clearest days you get a bit of a bumpy ride, you can just feel the movements of the plane a lot more than larger aircraft.
Propeller planes can also be a lot noisier than jet engine planes.
Good things are - takes less time to board the plane and disembark!0
