Yes, you can phone KE on Sundays 10 til 4.0. I got through right away to a person!!. She was very helpful. She said my problems with log in going round in a 'loop' was because I used a search engine instead of typing their exact web address. I will now try again.

One little curiosity that I have found is that on this KE page

    http://www.kaupthingedge.co.uk/our-products/high-interest-savings-account.aspx

there are two log-in entries, one at the right side, and one at the top of the page. Whether it is just coincidence or not I don't know, but I never seem to have any log-in problems if I use the one at the top of the page, but the one at the side can be a devil.

I've only ever used the one at the top of the page and had no problems.

Yes the one at the side will only work if you opened an account before 30th May.

Tried going to the website direct not through search engine but just go round in circles. Very annoying and rather warry about putting future money in there now!

  • [Read the article on bank ratings in the Mail today Kaupthing has a risk rating of 856 not far off the rating Bear Stearns had before they nearly went under!!!!! Any funds in Icelandic bank do not recieve the £35,000 safety of protection. That UK banks have .

With he experts all saying that icelandic institutions are on the brink I cannot understand anyone risking their hard earned cash anywhere near them. I would be very concerned if I could not access my account what d you think?

This is completely misinformed, as posted on the other thread. Kaupthing are part of the FSCS compensation scheme.

I can't see what place you have on this forum, 5 posts and 5 counts of 'scaremongering' regarding Kaupthings financial position. Why don't you leave readers to make informed discussions from those willing to help, not just copying and pasting the same rubbish into as many threads as you can!!!
