I have been dumb enough to fall for the Apple iPhone deal with iShop UK and have parted with the best part of 200 pounds by bank transfer.
Although I can confirm payment has been made to them 100%, their Website (no longer active!) states that my order is still awaiting payment which is total BS.
Emails and voicemail messages have not been replied to so I can only assume that this has been a total scam and, as stated I am the dummy!
So, putting all this down to an expensive "experience" does anyone out there know of any realistic way that I could attempt to recover my money and, is there any Regulatory Body that may be contacted?

Thanks to all in anticipation of some replies.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. • There's lots of people who've been conned by https://www.ishopuk.info - look at http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=532511&highlight=ishopuk for more information and addresses to write to to complain. So far I've written to my bank, ishopuk.info's bank (Abbey), Internet Fraud Squad, Watchdog and someone has written to the Trading Standards.
  • I have started up my own forum to try and take some more control over this and bring together those who actually want to seek justice in any way. It's there to share information and progress and to work as a team and support each other. I will be moderating this forum and working with each of you who are serious about pursuing this further.

Another vote for Wii fit here - had mine 2 weeks. Cool bit of kit.

I think with certain purchases you just have to use your common sense. With availability (or lack of it!) of Wii Fit at the moment there's no way anyone is going to be discounting them anytime soon.

Moneysaving or not I would only buy consoles,TVs, laptops, white goods, etc etc from 'known' websites eg Co-op, John Lewis etc. You might pay a bit more but you WILL definitely get the item and there's someone to actually go and see if there's a problem eg website linked to a 'reputable' store. Same with games - Amazon or Game or Tesco or Woolies or whoever is cheapest. Then you don't have to worry whether you're going to actually get it or not.
Don't grow up. Its a trap!

    Peace, love and labradors!

Bit of a difficult one, as no scam has actually taken place.

I mean, I'm with you lot in thinking it is a scam, but as noone has actually been "scammed" yet, no crime has ocurred has far as I can see.

    Innocent until proven guilty etc...

I think enough people have been scammed! His dodgy website is now down and people are out of pocket.

If Amazon and Argos don't have any Wii Fit's in stock, why would this guy have them in stock below recommended retail price? This one smelled fishy from the get go.

I'm feel sorry for anybody here that has been scammed and I do hope you get your money back. I read on another forum about somebody who was able to get their bank to reverse the transaction, if I find the link I will post it. I hope you can get your money back!
