I remember Zavvidirect may be the same guy. Got a telephone number which seems to be a VOIP number, They have heard some horror stories of Paypal so it is a bank transfer they are recommending. You do that, if you don't get your item you won't get your moneyback.
if you pay using your card or paypal or nochex, as a buyer you have a fair chance of getting your money back. if you do a bank transfer, think that you have done some charitable work.
    PLEASE AVOID!!!!!!!!!!

This is their payment policy. After reading it I would say they are definitely con merchants. A valid shop would allow you you to use debit or credit cards and many also allow paypal and google checkout. Their reasons are spurious, and if anyone is stupid enough to pay through this method, they have no comeback and will probably never see the goods or their money again.

    Payments

The reason behind us only accepting bank payments is a long winded one and can be traced back to the fact that all of the providers online cannot be trusted to protect both the buyer and the seller adequately.

We know from talking to the UK public that PayPal is the main source for many.. but.. do you know that PayPal has the worst reputation for NOT protecting buyers and sellers alike?

If you want to hear more about PayPal horror stories then please don't take our word for it - but do a Google search for 'PayPal horror stories' and see what comes up.

The same goes also for Google Checkout and NoChex - both again, cannot be trusted to protect your interests if something goes wrong.

Here at iShop UK - we use bank payments.
    Simple, old fashioned, bank payments...
You can pay us online or directly into our bank account at any Halifax branch.

It's simple - you are protected 100% by your bank and you have the confirmation that you have paid and we have received the funds.

No charges, no extra fees.... no pitfalls/scams/holdups!

The quicker you can pay for your order - the faster we will ship out for you.

If you have any questions or doubts about this service then please speak to one of our professional customer service team by clicking the 'Live Help' button on the storefront and we will be glad to help you further.

So, for the moment... we can only accept bank transfer payments until a working, safe and secure provider comes along that does not fail us or our buyers.. then the good old banks it shall be!

    Interesting address from Google:

Radisson Edwardian Hampshire Hotel, 31 Leicester Square, Leicester Square, London, WC2

0203 is a London code, although a very new one which does not come into play until Summer 2009!!

    From Today's This Is London:

London is to get a third telephone code. From next summer the prefix 0203 will be brought in alongside 0207 and 0208.

The new code is needed to fill increasing demand for phone lines from businesses and the growing number of single-occupancy flats.
It will cover the whole of Greater London rather than either inner or outer London as the codes which were introduced in 2000 did.
Communications watchdog Ofcom announced the new code today, saying it wanted to give plenty of notice and to avoid disruption which could be caused if other numbers were chosen.

There was, for a while, a website called WTS Limited. They were selling the wii fit for rrp but again, would only take bank transfers. Although this website looks different, the 'feel' of it along with the content remind me too much of WTS. There was only one review on the site and that was for a wii console. The review was wrote by somebody called Tim. Coincidense maybe, but I would stay well away. Needless to say, WTS Limited is no longer with us! (www.wtslimited.co.uk)

Just looking at the price says scam to me. I mean, why advertise it at £20 less than the rrp when you know you can get £70 for it?

  • They had me up until the point they asked for a bank transfer

I did a quick google check and discovered that the domain was only registered on the 15th July 2008 and has only been registered for 1 year compared to Amazon.com that doesn't expire until 2017 or play.com that expires in 2012.

Sadly some people have already fallen for it. I saw that one person was told the item was out of stock but could not get a refund until the end of the month so called up his bank to reverse the transaction. When he did so, he got a call from IShopUK asking why he had cancelled his order.

Don't know anything about the seller so wouldn't defend them. However 020 3 codes have been around for a while. 020 3086 xxxx is assigned to YAC Communications, who provide inbound management services (ie the number isn't likely to be a direct geographic line, it'll divert elsewhere).
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...
