Hi
one of my friends little 'darlings' took a pen and scratched big circles on the front of my lovely silver samsung fridge/freezer...............I think it is beyond help but wondered if anyone has a hint how to disguise the scratches?
thanks
Jaki

Might you be covered by house contents insurance? It might depend on how bad it is though and how new it is.0

Hi Calmspirit,
as your query isn't really old style, i'm going to move it to "In my home" as it will probably get more replies there.

thanks a_b for moving it...I wasnt really sure where it should go !
erm no contents insurance !
its a year and half old but even the extra 'insurance' would not have covered it if I had taken that out as it does not affect the working of the fridge I think!
Have tried coloured crayons to disguise but as its a metallic look .... well it just looks awful
I so dislike when children have no respect for others homes...... easy come easy go attitude of mother.....rant over !
I also hate fridge magnets but looks like I will have to put a notice board or something over it :-(

Have you tried a car polish, to lesten the markings?
Mer, in a blue container, car parts stores/Halfords, is only mildly abrasive, so not going to make it worse. You can use it on other surfaces too!!
& PLEASE ... do think of getting some insurance for your contents - even if it's limited cover, it's well worth trying to find the few £$£$£ it costs (in real terms)

What about T-cut, isn't that what my husband used to get rid of the scratches on the car? If its not too deep, what about getting a metallic felt pen, those posh ones will probably do it.0

I agree, T Cut it, should help.
Also, you could try to put on loads of fridge magnets!!!!!!!!!
Finally, GET SOME CONTENTS INSURANCE.............0 -
If too deep take it to a Car Body Repair Shop and a quick spray job is about £20
Ive had all sorts of funnies to spray as jobs on the side.
Even a Laptop.....0 -

T-cut.........I might be brave enough ?
ooooo car spray place ...... didnt think of that one thanks....theres a local bloke I will ask him to have a look !
contents insurance? I have never had it and never felt the need, i do see why it would be necessary but would welcome advice as to how necessary it really is?

Nothing stopping you trying the excellent T-Cut suggestion first, then having it resprayed if it doesn't look so good...
