Hi everyone.
I don't know if you already all do this but I have been trying to get stalls at christmas fairs and pamper evenings local to me. I've signed up to other forums but have also found stallfinder.com useful! Its worth having a look for events locally....just buy gifts and take them with you. If you don't sell them all save them for the next one. Plus they also provide opportunities for getting party bookings. I have already booked 1 in and i'm waiting for info on a few others.

It's a good idea but would cost a fortune as need to bulk buy loads of products as you don't know what people will be after. I couldn't afford to do it.0 -
Well i'm hoping its a short term investment-which is where my credit card comes in handy. Even if I don't sell it all I would be able to sell it in the future. Your right about not knowing what people want so i'm gonna just pick a few things but just boxed gifts as they are gift fairs that I am going for. If people really want other things then hopefully they will order or book a party.0

Thanks for your reply Alli. I had been given my thank you gifts before the parties but i'm now going to take your advice and give them the night of the party so then atleast if a party cancels ive still got the gift to re-use!
I was thinking that i might offer hosts a 10% discount on their order if they get over £150 in pre-orders does that sound good or a bit steep? xx0 -
p.s - can someone pls tell me some party games as ive never been told of any xx thanks xx0

I am going to take the plunge and become a consultant, I have my 6 parties booked in with friends and family. Cant do any training or get kit until the 20th though.
What does everyone reckon I can do in the meantime to help myself? Really want to be successful at this, get myself the car I want
Love this thread by the way0 -
Good luck to everyone who has parties tonight!!
Phoned my lady earlier, she has £100 of outside orders, £62 on the sweepstake and 13 people coming. Should be a good one!!!0 -
missbodyshop (and anyone else) I have a number of party games so send me your e-mail address via PM and I'll e-mail them on. Can't send attachemnts to anyone via PM.0

Hi Cherrypie what is the sweepstake? I've not heard of that before. I haven't got a party now til 23rd grrr I did have one this week and next week but they re-arranged for in a few weeks time.
Claire my tips to you as a new starter would be to have a look at the supply list and order the bits you will need for incentives. I am currently changing my incentives to make them better and I have now come up with...
Guests who spend over £30 will get a dip in my lucky bag which contains bath lilies, mango body lotion, cotton pads or cotton buds (all retail at £2.50 and only cost 50p on supply)
Hosts get a thank you bag for booking a party which contains a bath lily, mango body lotion and some samples and i also give samples to try before the party so you can get feedback.
If I get 2 party bookings then the host will get a pack containing cotton pads, cotton buds, cassis rose shower gel and peppermint foot lotion.
And I'm thinking of offering hosts 10% off their order if they get over £150 in pre-orders.
Ive also just ordered some of the business cards so i can get my friends to hand them out to people too and also i have just received some labels i ordered and they look much better on my brochures than when i was hand writing my name and number on them it stands out more.
If you get some business cards you can hand them out and get some more parties booked in to keep you busy before your kit comes on 20th! Word of mouth is good too i now mention i do parties to nearly everyone i speak to and although ive not got any parties from it i have recruited two people! xx0
