The Body Shop At Home (Hints and tips)

Hi Everyone,
I have had to put and end to my Body Shop at Home account for the time being as i am so busy travelling with work that i simply cant keep up my parties and sales.
Therefore i have an abundance of business tools (from catalogue wallets, mirror stands, makeup cases and trolley) to products that are taking up half of my parents garage! I am going to send a big email out to all of my recruits and colleages hoping that it may be of use to some wishing to expand their kit and business without breaking the bank.
If anyone would like to get a copy of the list that iv compiled....only 2 pages!! Then please PM me or let me know as id hate to see these all go to waste....ive kept hold of all the products that are half used to pamper myself with so they are all new, unused or have simply been on display for the odd party.
Thanks again, hope to rejoin in the future!

Hi All
I've been a bodyshop consultant for 2 1/2 years now and I love it.
I live in Northumberland and am trying to build my team if you are interested in being a consultant then let me know:rotfl:0 -
Hi - don't know if this thread's still active. Im having a meeting on Thursday about joining up. Really keen but havent done anything like this before. I'm in sales anyway so I think i will quite like it. Im just worried about booking parties (as everyone is i think!) but also what games/raffles I am allowed to do. I don't know any games and the only ones i have done have been at ann-summers parties so i dont think they are appropriate! I have seen mention of people e-mailling 120 ways to get parties and some game ideas. If anyone can help, id love to hear from you.
Wish me luck!0 -

I'm thinking about joining the bodyshop at home, filled in the online form for more info and just waiting to hear back now.. I have a few questions, but just wanted to know is it worth it, do you earn money after all the costs of setting up and any ongoing costs like petrol? What other costs are there? I know you have to register as self employed, if you are already earning from another job, do they take a lot of tax from your commission on sales? Do you have to hit sales targets with TBAH? What if you decide to have a break from it for a month or so? I'm quite keen to set myself up doing this but not sure how successful I will be....0

Hi motherofboys
If you love the products you'll do wellEnthusiasm is the key
I find it relatively quite cheap to run especially where prizes are concerned - you can make up a raffle gift for about 3 pound with the prizes being worth about 10-15 pound
Go to your local inland revenue about your taxes - they tend to be very helpful
As far as taking a break is concerned normal life happens and sometimes we all need to have a break - as long as you're putting 150 pound worth of sales in every 3 months this will keep your account active, (please correct me if I'm wrong ladies and gents
).
It's a lovely company to be involved in, with good ethics
Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like on here or pm one of us - we're all here to help
Good luck

Thank you Jenny, that is very helpful.. I'm really interested and have spent a fair bit of time researching.. I have asked friends if they would be willing to host a party for me and have had 4 friends who said yes and 2 friends have said no. One of my concerns is that I don't want to annoy my friends and family by asking them to host parties or look at the bodyshop catalogues etc. Is it easy to get business elsewhere? How quickly can you find customers?0
