LoveBodyShop - Devon and Cornwall area (how do I add this to first post)
Hi Astro - what area are you in? Have you spoken to your manager - they should be able to support and encourage you and help you get ideas. I find that just telling people about the fab body shop party you had the other night helps - tell them whats in it for them. If you are doing a pamper evening make sure you push to the hosts how the guests will get pampering, to try out products, get great discounts and offers - notthat it is just about buying products. - learn some simple massage techniques for hands, feet so you can use these when showing body butters, foot products etc. Have some simple prizes to win... Why not leave some brochures in local hairdressers with a date by which you need orders in... or offer the hairdressers a free body shop pamper evening to treat their clients.... ok i will stop now but hope this may be of help!:A0 -
Hello,
Yes I tell everyone, I've done the school fete and talk to all the Mum's, I actually did leave a brochure with my hairdresser, who was really excited about having a party, and though I've contacted her a few times I've heard nothing. A friend really wants a party but her friends won't commit. I even gave a brochure and business card to the girls delivering my takeaway last night, I saw they were all dolled up!
I am thinking of putting some leaflets in a local shop and inserting in a very local little ad paper if that's allowed.
I am in Heathfield, East Sussex, my manager is from Deal in Kent (just won the "Aspiring Business Leader" for June in the newsletter. I've been to the intro training and Make-up training day which she jointly ran. But I'm getting skint now so need to boost my income to get the petrol to go to another.
I give people all the incentives - fun - good chance to got the girls round. Lovely kit, etc., etc.,
Thanks for replying! xxxxx0 -
I finally got started with tbsah in May (after them never replying to my e-mails!!!) and thankfully its going well and I'm loving it!
I agree with a lot of the advice given about being enthusiastic and hopefully the parties will go on a roll. I had my 4 starter parties in May, they rolled to 4 in June, 6 in July (one of these was my own for friends who wanted to buy stuff but couldn't have parties of their own mainly) and I've now got 4 for August and another 6 for the remainder of the year (which will hopefully become more as the parties go on!).
Obviously like everyone else, I'd like more so am after a bit of advice for those with the experience! Is leaflet dropping through doors worth it? (Not catalogues just a flyer with my details on), what about posters in supermarkets, post offices etc Are many places (ie gyms, offices) happy to have brochures left and do people order? Basically whats the best way to advertise and get orders other than parties?
Thanks:)0 -

This is a great thread, I've got a interview tomorrow to go through it and see if it's something I want to. It sounds like an interesting opportunity.0

Thanks Jennyjewel, I am enjoying it and my husband says that I'm addicted:rotfl:My whole family and house smells of Bodyshop products!
Welshy84, good luck for tomorrow - I joined up and set a time limit of 3-6 months and told myself that if I was hating it by then, I'd give it up. It is a good opportunity and can work well for some people. I do know some girls who have given it up because they just haven't made hardly any money, even after a couple of months. But I think you'll know tomorrow if its something you'll love doing ...
My mentor bought me a Pamper Kit to look at when she came to sign me up and I didn't want her to take it back....she nearly had a fight on her hands. The products were just lovely!!! I knew then I was going to love it.
I'm in North Wales, what about you?0 -
What about this new Lush shops that are popping up now here and everwhere.
Do you think that they are a contender?
