  • Hi Scoobet, I've pm'ed you.
  • Hi everyone

I have been a bit slack in postings of late. However, I am excited about the Christmas season and love doing parties this time of year. I have noticed a lot of new girls, asking for party games. I have an excellent (Body Shop) teams website - address for party games, booking tips etc... Not sure if I am permitted to post details of the website so if any one wants the address please feel free to PM me and I will send it to you.

    Cheers

I've contacted the Body Shop by phone but I'm desperate to hear so just wondered how long it normally takes them to get back to you. Apparently it's an automated process?! Also, would I be able to buy the Xmas pack when I sign up or will I have to wait like you do with all the other packs?

    Hi Scoobet

Just have a look at the first post on the site and you have a list of Consultants & you could send a message to one local to you. It is always good to join a local team as you can feel part of a team. Of course you can join with anyone in the UK, but it is always nice to get some local support. :D
  • Hi Everyone, Had my first party last night and was really really nervous. Just had a party of my own to let people know what I've started doing and I was so dissapointed because only 4 people turned up and I didn't get any party bookings. I'm at my wits end! Can any one give me some really good advice on getting started because I really want to make this work.

    Thanks xx

Hi - I don't sell the same range as you but the basic principle is the same. Don't be put off by these experiences. Persistence is key - keep trying and you will get there. Think about your end user, who is going to buy the product from you? Where do they hang-out? Get yourself there....

Whoo-hoo - did a party last night - 342 sales,12 guests,2 outside orders of nearly 90 pound and 3 party bookings plus 4 ladies to get back to interested in joining :)
It's all in the hostess coaching :)
    Have fun everyone :)

Don't be disheartened! I'm in the same situation. I always seem to have minimal party sales. I have no parties booked into October but 8 for November! Your next three parties might be the opposite. Once you get out of the same circle things will hopefully start to pick up. You are more than welcome to PM me if you want some advice. I should know I've been working my butt off since May! But it is amazing how many people come up to me now and say 'you do body shop parties, I didn't know that!' when I actually told them! lol. It's a getting in to the festive period so fingers crossed for you.

I'll tell you the thing I fail on at every party! My timing! I allow the ladies to chat for far to long. I did a party the other night and got home at 1.50am! She was a friend of mine but I was having such a good time that I actually forget I'm working! The host is booking another party next year as she's moving to Hong Kong for six months and none of her friends were interested so no party bookings for October yet but I'm working hard! Might have a retirement home thats interested.

As I said, please PM me! I will try and help you as much as I can.

  • Hi Everyone.

I am a new consultant and am building up my business. I'm still too quiet for my liking but every now and then an opportunity comes along and I get a few more contacts. :j

Unfortunately I have a dilemma. In 4 months time, I'm moving to Spain. This is a trial move and I may only be there for 6 months or so but it may work out to be long term. My parents are there and my mother has been telling everyone she knows about the Body Shop and tons of ladies have said they would have partied and buy products.

I've been doing some research and so far have concluded that 1. The Body Shop At Home doesn't exist in Spain and 2. The Body Shop won't support consultants who want to operate in Spain.

So my questions to you are:

Is anyone else in this pickle?
Has anyone else worked out a way to work in Spain?
Why won't they start up in Europe?
How can a consultant start up an 'At Home' channel in another country - if possible!?

Hope you can help and give me some insight into BSAH in Spain.

    Thanks !!

Definitely don't be disheartened! I've been live on the system since September but have had a terrible first month with a family bereavement and only one party. As my first one it didn't go too well.

My starter kit didn't arrive, my manager was taken ill and couldn't come along - she sent her best rep along who was brilliant and between her kit and me grabbing stuff from around the house we managed okay - and I only got 4 people who turned up. But they were my very best friends and they all booked parties with me, I got another order from a relative too and managed to get enough sales to get some more items for my kit!

Since then I've contacted everyone I know about TBSAH and have looks like I will exceed my October quota with some good leads for November too.

As a newbie, I've found that you need to work at getting the bookings or the orders but would suggest that you try a few one-to-ones first from your friends and family to build up your confidence and your orders/ bookings. Just keep positive!

    Take care and good luck,
    Sackcloth.
Passing it on 24/7... while wearing stylish and confidence building heels!

Weeks until Christmas - 7, yes, I'm already counting...
