  • I'm so excited about the Christmas catalogue coming out! It should really boost sales as well as giving me even more to talk about at parties!

Welcome to TBSAH Keeping Positive! You're going ot love it!
  • I am really interested in becoming a BSAH consultant but the outlay does worry me and how much i have to spend on catalogues and other stuff to make it worth my while. I really need to make some extra pennies as i am getting married in feb and really dont know how i am going to pay for everything. I live in Suffolk and havent seen any adverts in my area for Body Shop parties so i could be onto something. I dont know. One of my problems is i can be quite shy which has only really happened since having my children so i dont know how i will cope! Any advice and info would be really much appreciated

Hi all, i've only read through the first few pages so forgive me if my questions have already be answered. I am considering joining TBSAH in the next few weeks. The thing is, I have a consultant coming here to do a party in 3 weeks time and all my mates who are coming might book parties but they'd want to book with me. I don't want to !!!! off my consultant but if I join she gets something too so hopefully she won't mind.
I'm hoping I don't shoot myself in the foot by inviting all my friends to this party as then they won't come to one I do myself but hopefully they will like it and ook their next parties with me.

    Did that make sense??

About the leaflet/catalogue dropping - I would definitely do that, when you collect orders can you out it through online like a party and be your own host and get the bonuses/ (If you have enough orders obviously) Or can you add them to your party orders to save on postage?

    Thankyou x

    Hey ragz,

dont worry about annoying the consultant who is doing your party as ok she may lose you as a host for the future and she'll lose any bookings from your party as your better having them but she will gain you as a recruit and the benifits of having a recruit outweigh the party. so dont worry. Especially if she's trying to build up her own team she'll be very happy.
when she does your host coaching with you tell her you want to join but you want to have your party first. it'll make her more excited, or tell her on the night. I'd love it if i host told me that.
And dont worry about your friends im sure they'll support you 100% and they just pitch it to them as if they host a party for you they can get some serious christmas shopping done with there free shopping and half price shopping. if they are true friends im sure they wont mind helping you out as you start your new venture.

I hope you do join us as its a fab company to work for and the rewards are fantastic when you do well, and its the perfect time of year to join. :D

And diners i was quite shy when i started working as a consultant but it has really helped boost my confidence. there may be a consultant on here from your area who can sign you up and she'll be there to support you 100%.

And im very excited about the christmas catalogue it looks so good and i think its gonna go down a storm this year with our customers.

just realised iv written a bit of an essay there.sorry! :o

    Hello to all

I have been with TBSAH since 2004 and just rejoined after having my daughter who's now 2. I love doing the parties and hope to grow my business with recruits (got 1 so far). The business has really changed over the last few years, believe it or not for newbies but 3 years ago the stuff was delivered in one box to you and you had to bag it all up yourself and deliver to the customer! Also there was like this tick sheet for ordering so you had to go through all the orders and mark on this sheet what you needed and call it through - no online ordering then!

Fundraisers are a good way to go - I donate 10% and then use the host free shopping and half price for someone else's order so I dont lose out financially. I also do reverse raffles and donate this money to the charity.

It also sometimes pays to be strategic with your order when it comes to the end of the month if you're going for a promotion - i.e it might be worth putting in the order a few days later to put it through in a new month if there is a promotion that month you're going for.

I am definitley struggling with parties, have had 4 of my 6 this month cancelled saying people had no money. Doesn't help me much as I am working for the same bloomin reason but I understand.

Hope you're all busy and great to see this post on here!

Hi thanks for your reply, I have just called my consultant and she's so nice she offered to let me have my party myself as one of my first bookings! I said I couldn't possibly steal her party but she insisted it's fine and I am just waiting for a call from the AM to tell me all about it. A bit nervous now, I have a tendency to rush into things and my party is in 3 weeks but I have been researching all day and you guys sound like a lovely bunch to work with. I went to a demo last night so I've already met a lot of the ladies (and one guy!) who work in my area. Also got a yummy free body butter! Are you alowwed to add things you've used to your kit or is it not allowed for H&S reasons?
    Oooh, I'm so excited!

This is something that worries me about joining at the moment. With the current economic climate people may not be able to justify spending so much on themselves. However on the other side, community trade and natural products are on the up so people are more likely to spend more if it's for a good reason.
Have you all experienced a drop in custom this year? Should it put me off?
