    Hi Everyone,

Well i'm due to sign up to TBSAH this friday and am really excited about it! haven't struggeld getting parties booked in, and i used to do ann summers so feel fairly prepared! (am finding it easier to get parties than when i was with AS) i'm joining up with EllieP in coventry and am so excited about getting all my kit - especially the xmas freebie bolt on!!

Ragz - i don't think we'll be as affected by the current economic climate because its stuff that people still need and will still use, and if you find that your struggling to get people to buy, you can always use incentives......!

Hi Alli, I've got my AM coming round this Friday to sign me up too! Have you got all your 6 parties yet? Ive got 2 but only decided to do this last night so not doing too bad! She asked me to think about when I wanted to start, I guess that because you have to get your 6 parties within a certain time frame. When are planning to start? Or did you not get asked that yet?
Sorry for all the Qs, getting nervous now lol!

  • Right I have two parties booked through work. One each in two of the local offices, hoping on two neighbours (one I havent told yet!) and one at the local childrens centre for a fundraiser and then maybe one myself. It is hard not many want to commit to a party but dont mind ordering a bit or at least looking. I kinds want to mostly let the stuff sell itself by letting people see how nice it is, I wish I had catalogues to hand out. I might try to photocopy my one tonight. At least the new xmas bits and bonues for holding a party.

Ordered some stuff off ebay so have a few bits. Spent roughly £25 for well over £100 worth of stuff, part will be for me, samples and others maybe raffle gifts I think.

Look forward to getting to know you all on this thread, Alli let me know how training was if you went tonight?

I just thought I'd mention, though I'm sure you all do this already. There are a lot of useful hints and tips on the Avon Forum on here that are easily transferred to TBSAH and it's a busier forum as there are more of them! lol

Sorry for all the posts from me tonight but...
If you host your own party and get the half price shopping, can you get your 25% commision on that too?

Hi Ragz, don't worry - it is a bit nerve racking, but once you get there for your first party and get into it, i'm sure you'll love it! I've got all 6 parties booked in, within my first 6 weeks - am officially signing up on friday (can't afford to pay for my kit till payday!)

Keeping positive - wait till you get signed up coz you can buy loads of stuff from supply and i'll bet its cheaper than what you bought off ebay! (thats the point of the stuff from supply - that it can be used for incentives, prizes etc)

training was good - long tho - was there till 10.30pm!!!

oh, and ragz - yes - in effect you are the host and the consultant so can get the benefits of both - i'll PM you

I've been wondering about body shop parties for young girls, does anyone do this? Say your daughter's having a sleepover or a girly party for her birthday, you could have TBSAH come round and either give them all a makeover for a set fee per girl or group or you could give the girls free make overs while selling the products to their Mums...

Just an idea, and opinions welcome!

Hia, at the demo I went to the other day I met the only guy in our area. He does wear make-up himself and I'm pretty sure he's gay so he does have an advantage over most guys. I'd say, of course you can but you HAVE to know your stuff. If you don't use the products your self but you are trying to sell them to women, you need to be able to talk them up.
You'd also need to be comfortable in a room full of Ladies (and NOT try to chat them up!) and comfortable giving treatments. You would need to be able to apply make-up as a makeover is one of the themes for the parties.
If you think you can do it them by all means give it a go, if you post your area someone from nearby should be in touch.

Have PM'd you this but posted for any other guys considering it too...
