    Hi Ladies,

Thank you for all your advice. I have my 1st training day on Saturday and I'm so excited about it but I'm struggling at the moment to get bookings for my 1st six parties. I've contacted friends and family and they all seem to say the same. 'Things are tight, but will let me know'. I extended my invites to people on my facebook but still nothing positive.

I'm going to contact my neighbours tonight and see if anyone of them are interested they are always putting leaflets through my door! lol. I've told my friends that I need their help and support while I get myself up and running but they all seem to be under the impression that someone else will say yes. I don't exactly have a small unit of friends so I can't understand why at least someone won't give me a try!

Does anyone have any ideas? My daughter goes to a nursery so I'm going to put a poster up advertising and I've posted various things on websites. I work in marketing so you'd think all this would come naturally. lol

    Thanks

    Gemma x

  • Hey Gemma,

Im hvaing the same problems at the moment getting the parties booked! I asked all my friends and colleagues before I signed up if they would have a party and about 10 said yes and now I'v signed up and paid for my kit they are all saying the same thing as well "they will let me know" or some people are just ignoring my texts and emails! haha

I'v tried the facebook route too but no luck as yet. I have 1 booked which is my own but 5 more to go....I too know a lot of people but no one is taking the bait. Iv offered free wine, 5% off their bills all sorts!

Hopefully I will get the bookings soon because I just want my kit and I want to get familiar with the products and learn about them so I feel prepared.

Hope it gets a little easier than this eventually!

Today I sent lots of letters out to schools about fundraising events and hand delivered some to pubs to hold ladies pamper nights and then my area manager told me that even if i got 5 pubs to agree to have one, they woulnd't count towards my first 6 because they are "events" not "parties!" - this seems so stupid - surely if im earning the BS money, a party is a party!

Anyone else having similar problems? Any advice at all?

    Woody x

    Hiya girls!

im doing ok at the moment. i have 10 parties booked in and i have done 5. im asking literally everyone i know. its hard coming out of ur comfort zones (and believe me i have severe comfort zones!) but once u get a booking it really motivates u. make sure u mention the party is free! let them know even if they dont have to make sales to hold a party but to look at is as a girls night in. then wen ur at the party, people buy buy buy! coz the products really almost sell themselves.

I struggled to get my first 6 and one of them cancelled on me but now i have done them and have 10 more!

Heres some of the ideas i use that u can too once u get ur parties!

-highlight the 5th line down on the order forms, let people know they can have 10% off the product they put on that line (obv they need to fill the 4 above it!)

-make up pretty hostess packs to give to the people who book a party at parties. have a couple of incentives in there and some samples.

    - offer a pamper pack of incentives (cotton pads, bath lily, samples and an incentive) for when someone spends over £30 or £35. let them know they can take that with them on the night for free!

-i offer a bottle of wine or box of chocs for the hostess having the party.

    - load up the hostess with £125 of products to show the guest this is what they can get for having a FREE party.

Good luck! keep us updated with how u get on wont u. def give the 'but its free' line a go! let them know anything else is a bonus!

  • Ah it would be so good to do all that with the packs etc but my manager wont let me even see my starter kit until i give her all 6 party dates so Im finding it difficult to promote without having catalogues or products to show people! eeeeek

    Hi Tina_bodyshop,

I had the same thing, lots of my friends were really keen until now and now they are making poor excuses but thankfully after sending another email making them aware that it was free and that they weren't expected to spend if they didn't want to (if though I hope they do) and three of my friends that aren't even that close to me have given me dates! So I'm pumped now and hopeful that I will get more.

Unfortunately people aren't always so obsessed with checking their emails or going on facebook every day so sit tight and if you don't hear anything in the next day or to give them a gentle reminder saying how you need to do the six parties. It might get things rolling.

I haven't asked my work colleagues yet as I've only been their 3 months. I mentioned it to a couple but they weren't too keen so I think I'll leave it for a few months!

    Good luck

Hi I was thinking about doing BSAH to supplement my income to help pay off debts etc. Can anyone please tell me if there is a FAQs post anywhere for people thinking about starting up? A basic search hasn't found anything, but I'm hoping there is one and I've missed it :D

theres so many hints and tips on here it will take u ages to look thru them all!
basically, you have to have 6 parties booked in within a 3 week period to get ur kit and get started. this is to get you up and running and to build a solid foundation for your business.
what area are u in? im in Essex. you can refer to the front page first post but half of them consultants might have left now. not sure. xx
