Well done Kim! I didn't even make SS1 so you've done really well. Great party sales tonight too!

I was panicking about January party bookings too but I got 2 this week at the same party by showing the items that will be in the sale (I bought the body butters and the mandarin orchid edt) and said "who wants a lovely detox party to catch up with all their friends in the new year" and it proved successful. They all really loved Body Shop products so wanted to get their hands on the limited edition products.

I'm going to make sure I stay in touch with them so they don't cancel so going to send them a New Year Card with a reminder of their party date so they feel obliged to keep the date! Hopefully this will work.

    xx

I'm a stay at home mum too and so I guess I can concentrate a bit more on it but tbh I would have thought that people that work in offices are at an advantage anyway. Surely there's loads more potentials for party bookings? Correct me if I'm wrong. I sometimes go a whole week without adult company (other than bf and parties) so I sometimes think it may be easier to get the bookings if I worked as I would have more contacts!

Yeh you would think so but you've got to be careful and strike the balance between doing the job they pay you to do and making money from BSAH on the side on their premises. I have managed to speak to one or two girls, one of them emailed me on Friday and said she has around £100 order to put through from herself, mum, boyfriend and boyfriend's mum, so that's good. She's ordered some stuff before, so she's becoming a regular!

I ran an offer in the last week of Nov, offering 10% off to help boost my sales to reach £900 as my parties weren't brilliant and I got a couple of orders from that. Because I don't have any parties in for the rest of the year, I'm really relying on selling products 'avon' style to help achieve my £600 target for Dec.

It is interesting seeing it from both sides - those working full time and those doing it on the side.

I do have a table at our fundraising pamper evening on Tuesday night and whilst I'm not expecting to sell loads, I will be pushing for Jan parties.

Anyone have any tips for events like this, other than getting them to fill out the prize draw slip?

if you have the jan sale products then take them along and stress that it'll be jan only.

anyone know if the jan sale products are exclusive to us? i've had a few ask if they can get them half price in store.

  • Now have 3 parties booked in for January and 1 possible. However, this lady in question got really drunk at my party on Monday, passed out and hit head on the coffee table and then threw up everywhere. Yes that was a memorable party!! Luckily none of it got on my kit :rotfl:

Oh some good news for those of us waiting for the SS2 to sent out, apparently it will be available this afternoon, so hopefully if you have an order to put through you can add it tonight or tomorrow! :) I have a party tonight so hoping to put it all through tonight, as i live really close i am going to have it all sent to me anyway :) Hope every one is doing ok? I am having a slow dec and have no parties yet for Jan, so not sure what i will do, but hey ho, am enjoying it and have not spent any money yet, so i guess i am doing ok.

    Hi Ellie

They are available in store too so not exclusive unfortunately. Our staff room is packed with boxes of the stuff waiting to go out!

that's a shame. at least i can give an honest answer to people who ask, or continue to claim that i don't know. I didn't want to say that i thought they were when I didn't really have a clue!

Well i had a good party last night, when i was on my way there the host called to say everyone had cancelled so i shouldn't bother. I said as i was nearly there we should see what happens and enjoy ourselves anyway. So i got there and within 20 minutes three people who had cancelled arrived!
So we had a party with 5 people there and sales over £190!!! So the host was thrilled and i got three party bookings for January! So i am thrilled as i had nothing from next week onwards :)

All good, and i have my SS1 & 2 on its way along with my november sales prizes, so i will have to make lots of room for it all! I am soo excited about the spa wisdom stuff, i feel a long hot bath and relax :)

Hope everyone is doing ok? Keep smiling soon christmas and lots of drink and food :)

  • Hi all!!

I did my 2nd party last night and only took £134 but had some outside orders that I collected and got it up to £225. I REALLY need some more orders this month, I had big plans to hit SS targets and Dec targets etc!!

I've got a few more parties to go and a couple of parties in a bag to come in. I've taken quite a few January bookings though, obviously the sale items have helped, I took some of the sale items with me last night and people loved them!
