Have today received a reply from an A & L manager.
Their pathetic excuse for the non payment of the £50 is that my recommend a friend didnt have his salary paid into his premier account within the designated 8 week period.
He opened the account in June and the salary was not paid in until August - in fact 3 days after the 8 weeks elapsed.
As he filled out all the necessary forms in June surely it is A & L's fault if they didn't arrange the switch in current accounts with his employer in time.
I shall be now taking this up with the ombudsman.

The head of the Retail network is Shaun Astley and the MD is Richard Pym both based mainly at the Carlton Park address!

_party_ OMG! Would you credit it, they have actually, put the £60 in the account. Albeit three days after they promised they would!

That's it, I got me money, I'm off to Lloyds TSB for one of their nice Classic Plus accounts or whatever it is.
