I looked at their main web site and decided to send my letter to the Executive Chairman - John Windeler at the Head Office, Carlton Park, Narborough, Leics. LE19 OAL.
I look forward to his reply!!0 -
If you put 141 before the geographical number to phone cust services, they don't knor where you're phoning from0

Thanks iomexico - I was roundly told off last time I phoned A&L for using their real phone number ("for people in Overseas Emergencies Only!", I was told by the indignant call centre chimp).
But - please forgive stupid question(!) - is it possible to use 141 and 18866 together..?0 -

GlennTheBaker wrote:Not a stupid question at all! Yes, it is possible. Dial 141 then 18866 then the number.
I found that if you don't use 141 the number won't connect. I tried 141 and got through and still got a rollicking for using this number and told to ring the 0845 "lets make money out of you" number! :mad:0 -

He won't! As of 28 October he is no longer the Chairman. The new chairman is a guy by the name of Sir Derek Higgs.
Let's give him a few nice letters to welcome him to his new post0 -
Too late - the letter's in the post. But I'm in no doubt that I'll be sending a few more - so thanks for the up to date info.0

OMG!!!!!!!
I actually got a response from A & L this afternoon. They have finally said that the interest payment of £48.01 they owe us will be in our a/c tomorrow. But as we have had so much trouble with them they will, as a gesture of goodwill up this payment to £60 to cover phone calls etc. Not much in respect of the hassle they have caused, but hey free money is free money!
Let's see if this actually materialises tomorrow! :wall:
Doesn't matter now as they've p***ed me off that much now I am going to swap to Lloyds TSB once I've got me money. :hello: Bye bye A & L may you annoy everyone else and not me again!0 -
i have now rang A&L over ten times chasing my £50.00 for recommend a friend. 3 times they claim to have filled out a special form to speed the payment up.
Surprise surprise norhing has materialised so far.
i have another two i am waiting for.....so fingers crossed...

:T Well Well Well! Now there's a surprise, nothing in our account!
Really can't be arsed ringing tomorrow, I'll leave it a couple of days then explode down the phone.....again! :wall:0
