Finally managed to get BBQ alight - seems a whole load of effort for 4 burgers and 4 salmon steaks, especially when I have an AGA which is permanently ready to go.

DS2 caught his first ever fish to day - we throw it back - I've never prepared a fish but I might look for the future - be interesting if he ate it!

Ooh Boddy I haven't heard of that one of Torey Hayden's books. I just did a search in my library for all of the books by her, but tbh, my library isn't the greatest for books - they don't have any of Martin Lewis' books!

SM, my library bought one of Martin's book at my request. They are really good at that :D

Hippy :rotfl: it was past 4am when I got to sleep :o I was up packing then and used the radio online. I just can't sleep when it's too hot.
    soappie hope today went well
jjef we go tomorrow about lunch time, depending when DP surfaces. He's not happy as I've nagged him into dragging the caravan here so I can fill up instead of me taking it all to the storage site, saves me faffing on filling and emptying my car today when I have no time left.

Hugs for everyone who would like one x

Done my 'during the day' list which included shopping, pet food shopping, some packing and lots of cleaning tasks. I was supposed to start my evening job about 2 hours ago but running late, so best go finish the lawns now or there will be a forest when we return

    TTFN :)
One day I might be more organised...........

Can't be bothered with anything else today - too full up on salmon!

Just going to get the clean bed sheets out and maybe find something else to read as I've finished the library book in a record 5 days.

Erm - no! No banking done yet - but still feel warm satisfied glow because of all I HAVE achieved!

Re ironing dusters - when I was a kid my Gran (mum's ma) would come to look after us while she was at work - and I can STILL remember her criticising my ma's dusters and the state they were in. I think that's the reason I wash & iron 'em! I don't iron towels or socks though!

Done the ironing - 4 dusters neatly ironed and folded and airing on the maiden, two tea towels, 2 double sheets one single sheet and 6 pillowcases. I cut down by using two sheets on each bed (3 beds) then on the kids beds I strip off the bottom sheet, put the top sheet on the bottom and give 'em a new top sheet each week. I, however, deserve entirely fresh bedding each week because I wash and iron it all. One of the (very many) benefits of being on my own is that when I do change my bed I slip into fresh sheets - bliss. My ex H always went to bed before me so I never got that 'clean sheet' experience!
