Morning peeps
Massive hugs again for sarahshattered (can spell it this morning) sounds like you are going to have a bit of a time of it with your poor DD.
All still quiet in the kaz house this morning as DD was at a sleepover party last night and is there til 2pm - brave mother that!!!
Have so far cleared away last nights tea things (OH cooked last night) that had been left out. I dont think that he realised that as he cooked it you have to clear away after while the wifey puts her feet up for a change  .
Not sure of todays plans, had suggested to OH yesterday that we go out on the goldwing this morning but the sky's changing so fast with the wind, not sure how far we'd get before I either got cold or wet and I dont do either of them :rotfl: .
Guess I should go and make a start on flossies sandwiches - her last day with us today as she's back to France tomorrow. Then breakfast and shower and maybe OH will be up by then.

Morning everyone!
I'm working from home today, so am hoping that cutting out that hour each way of commuting time will actually mean I can do some flying! The bedroom could definitely use some work....

Morning all, hope everyone's well today. I haven't had time to read throught the whole thread (just caught something about someone's child and a mousetrap! ), but wanted to update on yesterday's list:
Before I get home tonight:
[strike]Put air in tyres[/strike] Steering so much lighter now!
[strike]Make doc’s appt[/strike]
See about booking concert tickets - No answer, will try again today
Bathroom and Toilet:
[strike]Wash towels and bathmats[/strike]
[strike]Wash windowsills down[/strike]
[strike] Clean toilet[/strike]
[strike]Clean bath, inc. putting some plughole un-blocker down – my shower this morning almost turned into a bath![/strike]
[strike]Clean sink[/strike]
[strike]Wash tiles down[/strike]
[strike]Mop floors[/strike]
Clear out bathroom cabinet - Was about to do this and Dad's nasal hair trimmer fell out and cut my foot - it was 10pm by that point and that was just the final straw!!
Other various:
[strike]Washing up and wipe kitchen tops [/strike]
[strike]Tomorrow’s packed lunch[/strike]
[strike]The litter tray will need doing again. There was a spider crawling about in it this morning so I hope that’s gone by the time I get home[/strike]
[strike]Help Dad with his Fantasy Football team as it’s all online (hopefully once I set him away with this he’ll be ok…)[/strike]
[strike]Sort charity bag and put in the car ready to take tomorrow[/strike]
Jobs left over from earlier in the week:
Cut out all the recipes from the pile of magazines I've been keeping, put magazines in recycling and glue recipes in my book - Done the bulk of this, but my glue had all dried up. Might try and get them glued in over the weekend or if not, next week.
Clear tops and dusting in bedroom - Didn't get this far I'm afraid, the kitchen and bathrooms took all night!
I think I've done pretty well there to be honest, I've cleaned everything much more thoroughly this week than I normally do (even skirting boards!).
My aim over the weekend is just to try and keep the place in the state it's in at the minute (ie, lovely and clean and tidy) - I think doing small tasks daily to prevent build-up is getting to be a habit - then next week, on top of the small tasks, I can start doing a few of pigpen's suggestions too and hopefully the place will be spick and span in no time!
Have a lovely weekend everyone! xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Chunky79 - plastering course a great idea - I am just about to pay £700 to get garage plastered - and he was the cheapest quote!
SarahShattered - poor DD. Hope she is not too uncomfortable.
Kaz - DH is a chef - I am the unpaid Kitchen Porter!
Promise I will do less whinging and more flying today! But first, in 2 minutes I am going to call HR. baton down the hatches, I am mad!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Good morning all - hope you've said 'White Rabbits' for the 1st of the month. (Notice the dailies have!):hello:
Sarahshattered - bet you took no time at all coming up with that username - I really feel for you - and isn't it just typical of the others to complain when someone's getting more attention than them!
Think  my list will need a little tweaking but basically I will
[strike]peg out washing[/strike]
Clean bathroom
Mop kitchen floor (then use this water to mop bathroom floor)
Change beds
Clean bedroom
Sort out bank account
Thanks for the advice/encouragement re the videos. Problem is they are in a cupboard, so out of sight - but I know there are vids in there I've never watched since I lived here (10 years this year) and the space could be used for DVDs - but I've done a cupboard and a drawer so maybe could do this one, too.
I hear what you're saying about freecycle but there seems to be a problem with car booters picking stuff up to sell ... well that's hardly freecycling and I think videos would attract exactly that sort of 'freecycler'. I, personally, beleive that some of the car boots held round here (and there are lots) don't really adhere to the principle of carbooting and you get people buying stuff to sell on and even selling new stuff...
And when i did stand (once) the buyers wanted to pay peanuts. Felt it wasn't worth the effort.
I would rather give them to a charity shop so I'll have to see...
I must do my list first. After:coffee: , obviously!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
