You had me worried there - thought it was a flight of stairs worthy of Blackpool Tower but I realise you varnished - not just cleaned then! In this heat? Well done you!
SSL - do you find out today? Fingers crossed - sending positive vibes your way!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning ladies
We had rain overnight so it is a little cooler here. Ironing finished last night so I've put the board away for a week.
I think I'm going to try to get upstairs finished today and then move downstairs for the rest of the week.
Wipe our bedroom
clean bathroom
wipe landing
windows x4 upstairs
Then I really want to do DS3 room today - it is tiny but stuffed full.
Also:
library
feed plants
plant seeds
plant out marigolds etc
DS1 still in bed. I want him to do some of his coursework today - he has had over a week of the holidays and I don't want it being rushed in the last 2 days with me pulling my hair out and saying 'but you've had 6 weeks'The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Kaz - use the ticket - it is worth a try. How did the tidying up go after the blackcurrent session? Have you made cordial, mine worked fine. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Good morning fliers!
Just checking in before I get dressed and breakfasted. Welcome to all of the new fliers - there seem to be more and more every day! Our family is growing rapidly. They are a very friendly bunch on here, and I found myself missing them all dreadfully when I went back to full-time teaching, as I just didn't have the time to come on here. However, I'm now back, and they've welcomed me with open arms again.:iloveyou:
Just so that people can decide in advance, is anyone up for a half hour challenge between 10-10.30? For the newcomers, this is when we all do as much of our list as possible in the half hour, and then post our progress after - it's a great motivational tool.
Best get on with breakfast and dressing, as stomach is rumbling.

Good Morning ladies! I wish you'd all stop going on about the AWFUL HEAT - it's so miserable up in the NE with sea mist and rain
Well, I think I did OK for my first day's Flying:
[strike]Supermarket shop[/strike]
[strike]Make tomorrow's packed lunch[/strike] Mushroom and tomato pasta waiting to be demolished!
[strike]Clean out litter tray (my favourite)[/strike] Does anyone else find that cats love nothing more than a clean loo, so it doesn't stay clean for long?
[strike]Washing up and clean kitchen[/strike] Took ages but is sparkling!
Pick up and put away the piles of clothes in bedroom
Sort paperwork pile on bedroom floor
[strike]Dust the front door down (I noticed this yesterday, how embarrassing!)[/strike]BTW Tete en l'air - I help the kids deliver papers - been stunned by how dirty some peoples front doors are!
Thanks for that Valli, I don't know whether it makes me feel better that other people are as bad, or worse that people who come to the door notice it!! Done now though
[strike]... Put my feet up and read the last chapter of Atonement![/strike] Managed this one! I hadn't been enjoying it but the ending saved it for me.
So my list for tonight is this:
Tomorrow's packed lunch
Wash up and wipe kitchen tops to hopefully keep it looking nice
Dusting and hoovering in living room and dining room
Put away the piles of clothes in bedroom
Sort paperwork pile in bedroom
Cut out all the recipes from the pile of magazines I've been keeping, put magazines in recycling and glue recipes in my book
The above two should leave the bedroom floor clear so I can hoover
Dusting in bedroom
I really want to do everything on my list tonight as tomorrow is my date night so I won't get anything done, then I can sort the bathroom and toilet on Thurs and relax at the weekend before attempting to Fly properly next week! Right, better get down to some (paid) work now... Have a good day everyone!
