Please can I declare august at £202.81 off to find september thread now and start again :rolleyes:0

£191.12 so I was well under budget for the month but I was in hospital for a few days so nobody ate much here. It was a five week month and I wanted to stay below £60 which allowed me £300 for food. We actually have quite a lot of food in the house too, I don't need to shop for another few days other than milk.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

I'm declaring £138.13 which is £58.13 over but that includes £9.00 on beer which won't be drank until the end of September or something like that since there's only me to drink it and then that should only be on a Friday/Saturday night
Plus some groceries for September like milk and bread which I'd run out of so needed to buy. Going to aim for £30 a week in September as I'm starting a course and am a little unsure about how things are going to work out when it comes to meals and packed lunches for me
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
AlwaysHappy wrote: »A no spend day yesterday (thank goodness - I needed it), am feeling a little lonely now everyone is moving over to the september thread, will keep plodding on, I get paid on the 20th hence being later in the month, maybe if (when) I can ever get ahead of myself will try and work from month end to month end - can't imagine it'll be for a while!
Hi Always Happy
If your month runs until the 20th then I would count that as being September's challenge instead of August's. Come and join us on the new thread

Hello everyone (or else goodbye everyone?),
Just back from a weekend away staying with friends, and if we don't count the £12 of groceries we treated them to - opting to cook in together rather than eat out which would then have come from a different budget anyway and been much more expensive - we're almost there at £221.71:j- and that's with an unexpected mini-stock-up of soya milk and whoopsied bread at Waitrose on the way home, which will take us into September.
(Hang on, what exactly does 'whoopsied' mean anyway - is it when tins are a bit dented, or things are coming up to sell-by date, or both? May go over to the September thread to ask that one....)
see you over in September,
safMarch GC: £147.75/£180 groceries + £36.75/£50 meals out
February: £163.19/£180 + £66.14/£50 monthly budget for eating out Total £229.33/£230 :j
January: £170.01/£1700 -
