My computer froze and had to turn it off by plug and re start, dam annoying

I am going shopping tomorrow (monday) and even though I have my 50 pound I want to reduce it slightly as spent well over 100 pound on school stuff. But then I did save for the school stuff so may be I should not be worried.

But I have in my freezer loads of chicken breasts and 1 lot of beef mince.
Can any one help me in making something different from cottage pie and chicken casserole, as I am board of these now lol

I have potatoes, tomatoes, onions, celery, eggs, cheese, various veg.

I just thought may be I should post this on the store cupboard challenge,

    Thanks in advance

Mystery shopping is where you are asked by whatever company to visit somewhere and 'spy' for them basically - you get paid to shop for whatever they ask and in return you give them details of how your shop went, your experiences, etc. It could be something like buying a maccy d's burger to enquiring about a mobile phone, depends on the assignment they give you. Well, another NSD for me :j am getting used to these now, but really will have to get some dishwasher powder as really low now (maybe last till wedensday  ) Have been busy with my housework most of today and had to go to Hemel Hempstead this afternoon, but hoping to get on here a bit more next week as not so much work to do...

    Morning everyone

Updated sig we did have a BH treat of the M&S dine for a tenner deal, roast chicken, roast new potatoes, peas (from freezer) bottle of red wine followed by creme brulee mmmmm lovely and much cheaper than a takeaway, we had v. generous servings of chicken and there is still enough left for 2 meals and have got enough stock for 1 huge soup or 2 normal! Might do that again  also quick shop at mr A for milk, tuna, bread also got their sweetcorn (2 cobs for £1) which was v. tasty.

Thanks for your costings on the HM bread Angelnikki think I might get some mixes in to get me back in the BM habit and see where I go from there!

Should be in budget this month but it will be tight, will do a big Mr T shop for 1st Sept, before then will def need F & V, prob more milk too- £20 should cover it!

Off to catch up before breakfast for the hungry three!

Morning everyone - hope you all enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend.;)

Just thought I would log on and catch up before the Kids wake up - they are in for a real shock this time next week for going back to School.:rotfl:

Not spent anything on the GC over the weekend as we were well stocked from last week - had picnics out the last 2 days so got the BM on at the moment making some bread and shall make rolls later to replenish dwindling stocks. On my last bag of bread flour and so determined not to spend anything again today as my September budget starts tomorrow. I shall log on later to declare totals just in case I do give in and spend anything today.

Alexelisey - I think as far as Woolwich/Dartford Markets go I would prefer Dartford as there seemed more choice Food wise:- Fish stall, meat stall, fruit stall etc but the Market is only run on a Thursday apparently. Woolwich Market is there every day but only Fruit stall that I would recommend. Just wanted to try something different to try to keep within my Budget and I definitely think you get more for your money on F&V. HTH.

Herewegoagain - sorry to hear of your loss, take care.

Thanks to everyone for the advice etc on the tomatoes, I'm not doing anything different from any other year but seems everyone is having the same problem this year but when I went out to water them last night I finally have one that is half ripe :j - think it is just taking longer this year as we just haven't had the hot weather. Shall just have to be more patient.

Shall go now and see if the girls are awake for Breakfast yet. Will log on again later with my totals, think I will go back to my original Budget for September as I will need the extra as I always make my Xmas Cake, Xmas Puddings and Mincemeat in September when the girls have gone back to School - like to let the flavours mature in time for Xmas.:D Xmas, OMG, did I just use that word.:rotfl:

I know, my DS is still in bed and won't surface for ages yet - think I may have to start breaking him in gently by waking him half hour earlier each day... :rotfl: (Or just send the dogs in to jump all over him - actually, too much dog hair and yours truly would have to clean it up! )

Anyway, because I'm home this week, I want to do some batch cooking, but that will mean me going out to get some stirfry veg and some good ol' root veggies (weather has me in stew mode now :D ) - but only have £7 till friday, so must be quite frugal... May pop to market later to see what they have...

    Morning all

I have a bm, so even though I use now and again I think I may start using it a lot more.
Saves buying the bread and then it goes bad. I have 1 loaf in the kitchen that has gone bad, I have no clue why it wasnt put in to the freezer.

    Herewegoagain. sorry for your loss.
