Afternoon all
Just back from our jaunt out.... we were suposed to be having a wander around the golf course but it piddled it down so we just went to the NAFFI instead:D
Still no bread flour in (glad i have enough to keep us going).. they reckon it should be in tomorrow..so as hubby has a golf competition on thursday -he will stop off on his way home -and swipe all that they have -if its still half price;)
Strangely enough a few "whoopsies" leapt into my basket as i went past  .. all stuff that will be used next month and beyond but i will still take it out of this months money..so i got:-- pack of 5 onion bagels -i usually make them -but at 50c they are a quick lunch for me -
- a pack of 12 hula hoops for hubby
- 2 more tubs of fromage frais -in the freezer for pasta sauces
- 3 big tubs of i can't believe its not butter -in the freezer for baking all those yummy goodies everyone keeps posting:p
- 4 packs organic butter
- 2 500g packs of fresh chinese style pork goujons -split and frozen for putting in tortilla wraps nomnomnom
:rotfl: ...I will add that to my total in a moment..
Ohh whilst we were out i got hubby to stop of at the garden centre and i was right those metal rose arches i was on about were €2 / £1.60each  :T so i grabbed 5 (different budget mind):p .... they are 8ft tall X 4ft 6" across and 2ft wide... ideal for next years beans, peas and squash -and cheaper than buying canes.. so once i have got one out and built it up-i may get some more as i can always use the poles to secure tomatoes etc next year
Since we got in i have fetched another 1lb of tomatoes in..so i might roast n freeze them later when the oven is on for dinner - HM sausages, potato n onion roast with veggies
BigMummaF.... thats it then we shall have to arrange an exchange system... I do have 1 spare bedroom.. not sure you would get much done though..what with all these men in uniform around the place
...can just see you now with your little nose pressed against the glass watching them running past :rotfl:
right i had better get off and get some x stitch done...have a great afternoon all:D-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

howdy all,
well am sorting out some of the last of the wedding stuff that i can, burning ceremony music (have to take that down tomorrow) photocopying recipes for people to help with the cooking, etc. i am starting to get hyper about it now!!!!!!!!
am planning to spend a little later but got my clubcard vouchers, only £3.50, (can you tell lidl is now my friend ?) so i'll just get the milk, custard powder (thanks greent) and little bits to last us.
also on a hopeful note i have an interview tomorrow!!!!!! had a chat on the phone last week and the chap is calling me in, it's technically second interview stage for other people but i think he liked my moxie (balls for those without them
)
fingers crossed for me folks, i'll let you know how it goes.
welcome to EVEN MORE NEWBIES!!!!

Nickynoo, I'd say definitely yes! You can do it!
Wow, 41 years, congratulations Sue! Have a lovely day.
I need to add up my GC spends and alter my total but at the mo I am still way off target (famous last words :rotfl:). The garden is helping although this is tempered by the need to buy supplies to feed the renovation crew (aka Dad and OH) currently knocking down and rebuilding parts of my house! I am determined to come in under budget this month though. One great thing is that I have found a wild raspberry patch so have been picking kilos of them :T and I also now have a 2nd freezer (courtesy of Freecycle) so I can store my veg and buy more whoopsies - WHOOP WHOOP! :rotfl:Have a great day all.The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Just a quick update...
A NSD yesterday and shoudl be one today too:j
Made a yummy quorn based Texan BBQ thingy last night (out of a jar already in the cupboard - sorry:o ) and had it with wild rice - was fab! I have enough to last for a quick tea tonight too after the horrible weigh in at fat club! (Will let you know how I get on tomorrow).
I'm thinking of enchiladas for tea tomorrow (chicken for OH, quorn for me) and something like a potato and spinach curry for Thursday that can last until Saturday for the second portion. It's the OH's birthday on Friday and his parents are taking us out to dinner (very nice of them!) and Sunday is the race car driving day I bought him for his birthday (and also the first Utd match of the season apparently!) so a busy day.
Anyway, I'm trying to make what I have last until next weekend - went bonkers this week with spending!
Glad to hear that the Tesco vouchers are on the way (sorely needed this month!) - I should have about £20 worth and I also have a £10 Tesco gift card coming - I'll try and save them and use them on a big shop so I see the benefit of them at teh end of the month.
Still raining in Manchester too....
Have a good day!0 -
   Not having a good morning, as its my day off thought I'd catch up on some baking. Forgot the sugar in the choc muffins, realised after putting mixture in cases, thought I could stir it into the cases, not recommended, they're flat and and a bit sticky, think they will be ok with custard though.
Put breadmaker on, don't think I put enough yeast in, its not rising as much as it should and sunk a little in middle.
Made apple muffins, and some smaller plain choc chip muffins also, think these are ok. Not bothering with any biscuits - hd enough now.
Why do we have days when things seem determined to go wrong.
Oh well, better go get boys some lunch, then need to clean upstairs.
Just checked on the Tesco site and my clubcard points haven't been reset yet, I suppose they must send them out in batches.
Lobby for T, nice and easy, haven't had this for ages.0 -
Need carrots for tea, sending OH who is notoriously shoppy mad.
DD9 "Dad (whiny voice) can we have some icepops?????"
So stiff look and a list of 2 items so we'll see what he comes back with.
Toad in the hole, peas, carrots, corn, roast potatoes and gravy for tea.
HM pizzas for tomorrows tea, then baked bean chili Thursday.
Courgette leaves are looking pale and marked????Flowers are many but looking dodgy any advice welcomed.

Had to stock up on fresh fruit and veg today so went to my local market. Staggered back with three brimming bags and spent a big £7.57 which I'm very pleased with. This should last me well into next week. I'll update my sig when I get home as my work pc doesn't let me.It's so nice to hear about the events in people's lives on this thread, it's my favourite. Wishing everyone a really lovely day and hugs all round. It's up to me now and nobody else.0
