Maybe he is trying to kid himself that everything will be ok., looking through rose tinted glasses?

Wait till you find another partner, you may see a different side to him again.
  • I'm going to lonely and sad this weekend. He decided in the end that he did want to take the kids down south to the wedding so they've gone this morning!! Back sometime on Sunday - what am I going to do all weekend?!?!

Gert you seem to have loads of friends, you're always doing stuff, get some girls around to yours & have a bottle of wine & some nibbles.
I'm gutted this site's down Saturday!! Mind you ex is staying Saturday night, so we can set off early on Sunday, so I would probably not be able to go on here.
Have a relax without the kids, let him see what he'll be missing.
Keep telling my ex that he's going to miss out on so much, not being here all the time, putting them to bed, getting that first cuddle in the morning, when they are sleepy still, he's a silly man ( boy )

Why not do something for yourself? Meet some friends, redecorate, go through your wadrobe, go shopping, catch up on some comping but whatever you do do something positive so he doesnt come back and see that you can't cope without him.

I don't have kids but when my ex ended things very nastily I cried and i cried and it didnt do me any good so I decided to show him what he was missing, I got my hair cut, threw out all my old baggy/frumpy clothes and then gave our flat a makeover, I painted and bought a new sofa and curtains and when he came round to collect his stuff (I bought him out) his face was priceless. I wouldn't have wanted him back but showing him I was happier and better without him than with him was sooooo worth all the hard work.

  • Wish I could buy mine out! I did say to him yesterday, if you had anything about you, you'd give me the house!! Bit cheeky, but worth a try, mine you there's about 60k equity, at the moment, so can't see that happening, but where would I ever get 30k from?? Wouldn't even get that for selling a kidney, & don't think I didn't think of doing that when I was in debt either:rolleyes:

I've decided that I'm on here pretty much all day, going to nip into town later to get a top for tomorrow night, then I may get some girlies round or even have a quiet night in with a bottle of wine and some chickflicks. Then tomorrow - a lie in!!!!!! Not had one of them for years!! Tomorrow day, spring clean the house, hairdressers in PM and then out Saturday night - kids'll be back on Sunday so have got loads of stuff to do really - I am looking forward to the time alone but its really quiet here!! Have got the radio on at the mo but normally when its quiet here, the kids are doing something they shouldn't be!!
He said that he changed his mind about taking the kids because DS said he would miss him and OH said he couldn't handle it!!
Whats he going to be like when he moves out next week then!! I asked him that and he said that he could always come up and see them or take the to the park after school - err nope!! You ca have your two evenings and sleepover and full day on the weekend!!
If he sees them everyday its like nothing has changed - I want him to realise what he's losing -so can make his mind up about what he wants!!
Going to take someones advice and go to Primarni when I get dressed!!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:

    :T :T :T You go girl! Have a great weekend x
  • Went to priarmani quickly yesterday, but I was so peed off about benefits I wasn't in the right frame of mind, tried in some jeans as mine fall down now, but I didn't like them & just didn't feel like looking any more after that.
Sounds like you'll have a fun packed weekend anyway, I've been asked to go around a friends Saturday in the day, so will probably go, trouble is I have to drive everywhere, except pub the other day & I would really like to be able to have a drink!!
Went into my old work yesterday, where I met OH, I left 10 years ago, but still people there I worked with, one didn't recognise me, she couldn't believe how thin I am, I suppose she hasn't seen me for a year & I'm 2 stone lighter, as I lost half a stone when my mum died another half a stone from working as lots of lifting & another stone because of all this, keep looking at my face it looks really drawn & old
