    You mean:
Did you know? Authorising a regular payment off a credit card (called a ‘Continuous Payment Authority') is much more dangerous a bank account ‘direct debit'. The problem is you can't cancel it, only the company its set up with can. The major, but not exclusive, culprit of such dodgy dealings are internet !!!!!! sites leaving people taking ‘embarrassed' monthly payments. Always make sure any CPA is set up with a legit company, and try to use direct debts not credit cards. Read an article on it. (based on an old report I did for R4 Moneybox) Discuss it.

No you cant. If you take the Broadband as well as the Phone your subject to a 12 Month Contract.

With Zen internet I pay using a credit card.

I was going to suggest Zen as well in this case.

They are slightly more expensive then other isps but my god are they worth it.

1 month rolling contract non of this 12-18 month malarkey and a English call centre where u can talk to someone who actually knows what there talking about rather then reading it of a script.

What more could you ask for.

Oh an Nildram is now owned by Tiscali so I would avoid them at all costs.

Nildram is owned by Tiscali - I am very cynical about where they end up service-wise! But overall they've been ok - only gripe is some retentions offer they offered and then didnt get back to me for ages once I asked a technical question about it (not taking it up anyway as its a 12 month contract). However, normally Nildram offer 1 month contracts so like Zen you can cancel any time. They also have UK call centres etc.

However with regards the payment with card you can change details online rather than needing to phone etc so it's probably slightly more efficient than any where you need to phone to do so.

I have BT broadband, and dont pay by direct debit, i dont think i pay a surcharge either, as i have paperless billing, get an email then log into my account and pay by card. (SOLO)

i just refuse to run direct debits for anything.
