We have booked PE when travelling from terminal 4 a couple of times via APH their discount links are below. PE doesn't always appear on their discounted list so you might need to try the other agents, See above for my other post for more agents.
www.aph.com/offers this link gives 10% I think
www.aph.com/?partners/toyrus this link gives 15% on restricted selection
NCP by the airport entrance tunnel to T1,2and3 take your keys but I have never known them to move or go into the car. Might be worth a try although bus doesn't go to T4.
www.ncp.co.uk try with and without codes LHR86 or LTHR7 or 6ADAY
One to avoid is Q-Link absolutely hopeless and move cars to other sites.0 -
Hi
This may be a stupid question, but do parking charges increase the nearer to the date you book. I know busy times (school holidays etc) are expensive, but as we are going on hliday in September, I thought it would be reasonably quiet (and cheap). I looked a couple of weeks ago at Parking express at Gatwick and it was about £66 - great I thought- I'll book when I get paid. I looked today and it's leapt to £89!!!! Should I bite the bullet now or will it go down again? (I know there are cheaper off airport sites, but DH liks to be as near as poss to the terminal:rolleyes: )0 -

As a general rule the cheap deals disappear the nearer you get to the holiday. Sometimes the cheap deals disappear with one agent but are still available with another, have you shopped around. Essentially the price depends on the car parks demand. Normally I book fairly early via a parking agent (see list above in my previous posts) that will allow cancellation then if a better deal comes along cancel and rebook. At £89 you might get a better combined hotel and parking deal there's no need to actually use the hotel.0 -

Thanks Monkeyspanner - thats brilliant - I was checking various agents and discounts last night and Parking Express via APH offers seems to be the cheapest, now just got to work out how long to allow us to get from West Yorkshire to Heathrow on Saturday morning........how long is a piece of string ? !

We are flying from Manchester on 26th July @ 6.00am for 2 weeks. This will be the first time of driving to the airport and leaving the car for two weeks.
We (2 adults and 1 child) are quite prepared to stay in a hotel, as long as we can leave the car at the hotel for 2 weeks, it is not too far from the airport and not too expensive of course!
Have checked out the NCP car park which was just under £50.00 with shuttles every 15mins, I thought this was a good price but not sure of the area, as I do not know Manchester that well and no one I know has used them. Also, concerned with trying to find car parks in the early hours, if you know what I mean.
So, would very much appreciate advice, tips etc.. on security, locality, cost
My apologies if this has been asked before.0 -
We leave our car at a small car park, run by a bloke from his own home about 7 minutes away from Stansted. He has a secure high-fenced lock-up area and transfers to and from the terminals are included in the price, which is £5 a day.
I have no connections with this man, other than being a customer. Send me a PM if you want his details.
Addy.
Just to reiterate that I'm very happy to send people contact details for this parking service at Stansted, but do please send me a PM as I don't read this thread too often.0 -
Hi Addy
If you have details of the Stansted Car Park I'd be really grateful
Thanks
