thanks for that monkeyspanner but i think that i will go for the on site parking and it is only £31 between for of us it is only a few quid each.

For a flight from Gatwick I booked my company car in for a service with the local dealer near the airport and then got a taxi from there to the airport. Similarly at stansted I left my car for a sevice with the BMW garage and got a taxi to the airport (could also have got the train). Much cheaper than paying for parking.

If you are happy to walk an extra 100 metres or so further than the official car park, go to the Spa Hotel, which is 'on-airport'. Cost is £3 per day. Firendly staff.

Flying from Manchester I've used Country Car Parks Ltd [0161 437 4912 : 0778 891438 : Countrycarparks@aol.com] Last time was October 2004 - 10 days £38.50, met at departures, car returned to us at arrivals - very reliable & friendly.
