My GoLite Blu arrived faulty with two dodgy LED cells. Bzzagent sent me off to try Philips customer support who knew nothing about the campaign and suggest I speak to Bzzagent for a replacement. I've seen a few reviews online saying faulty cells and am very surprised they dont have better quality control especially when we are reviewing the items!

Go back to bzz and ask for a new one...you have paid for it and they are obliged to send you a working model....I had a problem with the philips steam generator iron that I tested last year and philips were not any use as I technically didnt have a receipt for the item...I had paid £20 to take part in the test...bzz seem to like to direct you to philips ans philips know nothing about bzz thats the situation I found...I eventually got bzz to send a replacment but only after the iron had scalded me with the steam it was overgenerating....keep pestering bzz and you should get a positive response.

How do you read your reports for this once you've submitted them, I can read my "archived" ones from old projects but I cant seem to figure out how to read the report and reply to my reports for this campaign, I can see they've approved reports but not read them or thier replies here. :-S

I saw this on a website for another light similar to the Philips one
"S.A.D. Lightboxes can be declared as a medical device so are vat exempt." Not sure if this helps anyone but I wonder if Bzz should be charging vat if this is the case? (Value Added Tax under group 12 of schedule 8 to the Value Added Tax Act 1994.)

On another note -since it decreases the production of melatonin (sleep hormone)- be careful if you use the light box in the evening and don't want to be kept awake all night! (doesn't affect everyone but definately stopped DH sleeping. He has been banned from using it after 6pm now! :o)

I've had 4 days of using it, and I haven't nodded off once! Usually I'm snoring on the sofa by 9, so I'm quite surprised. I didn't really think it would make any difference, but, for £40, if it keeps me awake I'm happy. I don't think I'd pay full price for it, especially as you can't really be sure if it's going to help without trying it first.

Thanks, i dont really 'nod off' but i think its slightly effective, however i would agree, the original asking price imo is way over the top.

I put in a report on Saturday and I got the reply back in less than 5 mins.

Thanks Wirehair, I think I'd better get in touch with them.

Wow! How are you supposed to creat a "bzzz" with something faulty?

  • I'm curently on the goLITE BLU campaign, and have submitted my reports etc for an extra honeycomb. Although it says I need to complete 2 more website reviews for my final honeycomb. Have done the KAYAK one, but all the rest are agent submitted so don't count. Anyone know how to fix this or do I just have to wait for the featured site to change?

Someone on here said to do an opinion of KAYAK three times, but it won't let me write another opinion, am I being a muppet here lol?
  • Ooh ooh got mine today. It's bleeding bright though! I'm a bit concerned that low flying planes may start landing in the garden if I use it with the blinds open.
Who else thinks the magnetised stand is cool?
    Not £250 cool, but still..;)
