Barclays Partner Finance -my unknown debt?!

No I never had a full driving lisence let alone a bike!

Besides BPF are convinced its a finance loan with Currys (electrical store) with £167. left to pay. Even though Currys has told me they have never used Barclays Partner Finance (or their former name Clydesdale Financial Services) they have checked all their contacts backdating 20 years for us and have never heared of them let alone got a record.

hiya we have just had murder with barclays partner finance !! they are money grabbing pigs ! we only owe about £60 on a table and chairs we purchased through next interest free 2 and half years ago we have never been late with a payment or missed one ! as we changed banks last month we rang everyone up to change direct debits this timing happened to cross with the payment of £18 due ,we gave them our new details and they just said they would apply to the new account for money . 4 days later we get a letter telling us we are late with the payment they charged us £22 charge for being late AND £ 20 charge for letter !!!!!!!!!! for a payment of £18 !!!!!! we went mad the manager was a pig of a man who had an answer for everything !if the payment was going to cross they should have asked for a payment over the phone which one or 2 companies did we would have had no problem with that ! so god help you they are pigs i would never take finance with them again profiteering out of peoples mistakes !good luck paula x ps my daughters car finance through carcraft is with them too i have warned her !!

Thanks for the info. Trouble is I am sure its not even a debt of mine. Never had furniture, or vehicles on credit. I have only ever had stuff from Currys on finance loans and its always been with HFC who Currys deal with.

Today it has officially been 2 weeks (14 days) since I contacted BPF requesting they send me a copy of the original agreement signed by me.

Well surprise surprise yet another letter hasnt turned up from them! All I have had in the past few days was another letter to say my DD has been cancelled and I am now in arears again by £11.95, if I dont pay up they will charge me £20 on top!

What do I do now?

I thought that you had requested the original paperwork? What xactly di you do?

it seems an inconveinience to post me a copy of the original agreement I signed. Cant even do that 1st class 'must be second' I am told abruptly

Have you formally requested the CCA in writing? If not what have you requested?

Ras I have requested they send me a copy of the original agreement they signed. I did this by telephone on 23rd July, as advised by Currys store.

I was told by BPF (formerly Clydesdale Financial Services) that they would send it to me second class that day. As I said today (7th August) it has been 14 days (2 weeks) since I made the request (by phone) and the advisor agreed to send me the document by post. I still have not received anything like a statement or copy of my signed original agreement. All I have had a couple of days ago was another letter telling me the banlk has told them I cancelled my Direct Debit so they cant collect this months payment of £11.95, so theyre contacting me to chase this payment.

SO no I havent put anything in writing but they have / did say / agree to send me the paperwork.
