:wave:Aww... Thanks you guys.
You're right - a casual mention when we bump into each other would be a better approach. To be honest I feel better just talking to somebody about it. It's really been playing on my mind. I'm ever so glad that (most) of you don't think that's silly.
I don't know if my neighbour would mind that I fed the cat or not. All the local cats tend to hang out in the gardens that don't have dogs or small children - so I know she knows that her cats are usually to be found in ours, our elderly neighbour's or the studenty young lad's gardens.
I focus on the "saving me money" aspect of someone else feeding our moggie, and when I was working really long hours I used to think it was nice that he had other places to go for a snack and a bit of fuss.

I'd be inconsolable if he didn't come home though.
I don't mind that the elderly lady over the way feeds our cat (so long as she doesn't give him milk cos that makes him puke - but she knows about that now)
After her last cat died she didn't get another one in case her health failed and she had to go somewhere that she couldn't take a cat - so spending time with our moggie is nice for her without the commitment. (and he loves it - the tart!)
The studenty lads at the end of the terrace have a lot of BBQs at this time of year so they've got to know ALL the local cats pretty well.
(opportunistic little !!!!!!s!)
They've noticed that one is missing too - they asked me about her today.
I shall have to clean the car, sweep the path, clean the windows etc and hope we bump into my neighbour - and then somehow be brave enough to bring it up!
Thanks ever so much! :A

don't mention the feeding if you don't want to. Just say you have noticed little fluffy hasn't been sunning herself in her usual spot in your garden recently, Is she ok??MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

I guess if I was miaowing outside your kitchen window at 7am I wouldn't be fed breakfast?
Oh that's wicked honey!   They feed the cats - not eat them!
I'll see you in the morning then shall I?
I'm doing Prawn Omelettes tomorrow so start practising your cute but starving face. :rotfl:

Ooh I know honey.
Couldn't sleep.
Besides fretting over other people's "flea bitten pests"
I'm still stressing about our debts.
I'm worried about something bad happening and not being able to keep up our current pace, and I'm also stressing that hubby's getting fed up with the lack of fun in our lives and worried about what's going to happen there.
He's got this thing about "manageable debts" and as he thought £96700 was manageable because we were making all the payments on time he thinks the £8.5k we have left to pay off is piddling and would like to relax a bit.
But in the current climate I think it's more important than ever to clear it so I'm worried he's either going to go off the rails spectacularly.
Or that he's going to get fed up with me for being a hard @ss about this.
I bet you're glad you asked now huh?

Can you decide on a reward for him/you both when you do hit the debt free target? You have done so well.
PS back to the thread hope the cats ok:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Thanks Keeping Positive.
We're planning a holiday or mini break for January when we should be down to the last of it even if we don't manage to clear it by Christmas as I hope.
Hubby's got a big birthday that month and I think he misses our holidays more than anything else I've been depriving him off for almost 2 years now.
I think we may have to go for an interim treat as well though. He has been very very good.
