now to me that's something completely different with raisins. :rotfl:
Now everyone knows that tea-cakes are just huge big barm cakes and you can get them in white, brown or currant flavours
Just don't try asking for a muffin in Lancs though if you want a cake :rotfl:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

yep, them are the ones. I found a recipe here for you but have never tried it. I'd never be able to make them as good as the ones in the little oatcake shop round the corner:

They are gorgeous. Cheese & mushroom oatcakes. Yum, yum, pigs bum
Most people have them with bacon & cheese - I'm a veggie so its mushrooms all the way!Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Oh lovely, thank you!
I might have a go at making those this week now :j"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Just to let you all know, I ended up roasting the turnip and lovely it was too!
I simply steamed it then put in a baking tray, drizzled with olive oil and seasoning. Then put in the oven with my roasties.
Yummy!
Thankyou all for your tips.
Now what can I do with 2 cabbages? :rotfl:0 -

I have a swede in the fridge - or is it a turnip.
Mr TM is Irish, so whatever I call it, he'll call it the other
Thanks for the tips about adding the spices - I adore nutmeg and cinnamon etc so should be good.
ps CQ - I was looking at Oatcakes the other day in Tesco and nearly bought some. I've bookmarked that recipe page, so may be making them this weekend too0 -

Now then, would that be red, green, white, spring, savoy, pointed or Chinese cabbages? :rotfl:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
