For some reason it won't let me do the BT Speed Tester - doesn't authorise the username no matter what I put.

Up to 8 meg could mean I still get the 2 meg d/l speed.....here's hoping they are planning to let me d/l at greater speeds more regularly in the future!

Will try and d/l something later, around the same time as the increase last night and see what happens.

The user name is what is set up as your login on the modem to connect to Aol.
Example for my connection its joe.bloggs@adsl.virgin.net

As long as I don't lose speed I guess.

All started last night when I was getting faster downloads than normal that i'd never seen before and it seems I may be on up to 8meg now.

As long as my payment doesn't change, that's fine, but I would have thought they'd tell me if they were changing my connection
